I was dreading buying a new car because of past experiences with dealers. I went into PEAK Kia with the intension of only "looking" for a new car and left with one! We have used Peak Kia for the past 11 years and will continue to use with our new Sorrento. Nick Smith made the process painless. He was extremely pleasant and professional to work with, absolutely no continue to use with our new Sorrento. Nick Smith made the process painless. He was extremely pleasant and professional to work with, absolutely no bantering back and forth. The day we were scheduled to finalize the paperwork was Nick’s day off. Nick came in to see if we had any additional questions. We would highly recommend Nick. Sandy and Dennis Skubal More
I have always loathed the hassle and stress of car shopping . . . Until I was referred to Nick Smith. I've waited a couple months to write this review in hopes that I would end up liking my car more. But I don't so I figured now is the time. I went into Peak Kia to look at a new Sorrento to use for Uber. I t that I would end up liking my car more. But I don't so I figured now is the time. I went into Peak Kia to look at a new Sorrento to use for Uber. I test drove the 24 Sorrento and loved it. When I returned from that testdrive, my friend who had stayed back at the dealership said she'd heard another salesperson storming around and cussing about me being on a drive with another salesperson. Seems he thought I should have been his customer. So we get back and we started doing paperwork. When my salesperson told me about a 23 Sportage that I might be interested in. Took a look at the outside of the car and we went back in to find the keys to test drive it. Couldn't find the keys and it was closing time so we agreed that I'd come back the next day and test drive it. We finished what I was told was the paperwork to get pre-qualified so they'd have an answer on my financing by the time I came back. Fast forward to the next afternoon and I go in. Only to find that they did indeed run my paperwork but for the Sportage. So I was qualified for a car I hadn't driven and wasn't my first choice. I was told that I should test drive the Sportage and see how I felt after that. I drove the car and hated it. It didn't have any of the features I had very clearly stated as being necessary. We get back and the sales manager tells me that there's no way to get the car I want because I had signed paperwork. Paperwork I was told was for financing, not for the specific car. I had no idea what else to do so I finalized the paperwork. Which had been redone because the finance person had tried to slide an extra 1300 dollars on for an extended warranty. When I questioned him on that fee, he said I'd agreed to it. Said he'd discussed it with me. Neither me, my friend, or my salesperson had heard him say a word about it so that was just an outright lie and an attempt to slide a fee past me. Super shady. So I take the car and am told that the promised detailing of the car will be handled after there's better weather. So I drive away with my new used car. I honestly hate it. It drives poorly and there's issues with the transmission shifting, it feels like the alignment is off, and the "new" tires are absolutely garbage. Drive it for a few days and it gets to the oil change mileage so I take it in to use the free oil change coupon they gave me. I take it in and list all the issues I'm having and they promise to take a look. According to them, the tech found no issues. Of course they don't, right? So I talk to the parts counter to see about buying some all weather mats since this car came with the cheap carpet mats. The parts person told me that while they have the mats in stock, I shouldn't buy them and I should just go to Weather-Tech. Crazy to me.So they next day I have two tires showing lower pressure. So I keep my eye on it and it's going down daily. So I go into my local trusted tire shop and they pull the tires to check for leaks. Lo and behold, the inside of the tires have the residue of fix-a-flat. My tire guys find holes in two tires so they patch them for me. Obviously not new tires. They also find the alignment is in fact off. So now I'm having to buy new tires for my new car and get the alignment done because the dealership said there wasn't anything wrong. So before I pay for that, I go back to the dealership to see if there's a way to get the car I want. I plead my case to the manager and he agrees to take the car in on trade. I hated this car so much that I was willing to take a 5,000 dollar loss on a car I'd had for less than a week. Do the paperwork and now I can't get financed because I just got financed. So now I'm stuck with a car I hate. This was 100% the most disappointing sales interaction I've ever had. Every single person I dealt with seemed to lie to me at some point. I'm so frustrated and there's nothing I can do. They tried to bribe a good review by telling me if I gave them 5 s More
