My Review of Performance Nissan:
I had a great experience with Performance Nissan, though I do have to admit that I did not have to deal with the sales staff. I found the car that I wanted through carsdirect.com and I was sent to Performance Nissan. Once there the staff was very friendly. They adhered to the price I found on the internet and were completely honest every step of the way. I know this because my first experience with a Nissan dealer was not great(see review for Santa Monica Nissan). My car was delivered when promised with the options I wanted. Where ever you go, make sure that you do your research ahead of time.

My Review of Performance Nissan:
I bought a new Frontier from Performance Nissan in Duarte and they lived up to all me suspicions about new car dealers. I went in and told them the exact truck I wanted and gave them a very precise list of options. They did not have it in stock but they said it would be no problem to get it within a day. The salesman then had me talk with his manager and we agreed on a price that I though was a great deal. I also had the manager put it in writing. The next day I showed up and they had the wrong model waiting for me. I complained and they apologized and said they would make it right. I came back 2 days later and they had the right model but it was missing 2 important options. At this point I got very upset and the salesman promised that he had located the right truck and he showed me a fax listing everything I wanted. Since it was a good deal, I reluctantly gave him another chance. The next day the right truck finally arrived although I had to wait around for 2 hours because the salesman had to drive it in from a dealer over 100 miles away. Next came the bait and switch. A different manager handed me an invoice that was $1800 more than I had agreed. I was prepared for this and showed the new manager the quote from the other manager. He then claimed that he did not know who had signed the quote and that they could not give me the truck for that price. I was in tough spot because I desperately needed a vehicle; otherwise I would have walked out. After an hour of negotiating, I ended up getting over-charged to the tune of $450 more than the original quote. Later upon delivery there were several small cosmetic problems and the tie-downs for the bed were missing. Eventually I had them fix and replace everything for free. In conclusion, I did get the exact truck I wanted at a fair price, but it took several visits and was very frustrating dealing with their shady tactics and incompetence.
