My Review Of Pine Belt Chevy Eatontown:

Let's first state that it is extremely, and I mean EXTREMELY, rare for any company to get as many 5 star ratings as this one does. The reason for this is because employees are the ones rating it with 5 stars.

The problem I had, was when I went to the dealership. I live about 2 hours away, and I told them that I was planning on coming in and driving away in a particular new car they had in stock. I was already pre-approved for financing at a very good rate, and they said that they deal with my particular financial institution, and that it wouldn't be a problem to get the same rate.

I showed up and test drove the specific vehicle that I was interested in. We were all set to make the purchase, but that's when the attempted screwing began. First off, they didn't get me the financing through my particular institution like they promised, and it was going to cost me several more percentage points higher for the financing. Secondly, they tried to scam me on what my trade in vehicle was worth. They were showing me a stripped down 2WD model of my particular vehicle in their black book, but I had a well stocked 4WD model. When I pulled the book out of the salesman's hand, that's when I saw the real value of my vehicle. They also gave me a price over the phone that was fair and reasonable, but after I got there they upped it a few thousand more. The last part of the attempted screw job was when the salesman kept going back and forth into the sales manager's office during the negotiations, and then finally told us that it didn't matter because the vehicle was already sold. When we asked who bought it, we were pointed to a couple that were in the sales manager's office the entire time the negotiations were going on.

Save yourself a lot of time and headaches. Deal with any other dealer but them. They will screw you over in a heartbeat. Just look at all of the fraudulent 5 star ratings.

My Review Of Pine Belt Chevy Eatontown:

Great deal on a new Chevy. They added some leather seats at a good price too. The dealership allowed the car to be picked up the next day and include 3 free services.

My Review Of Pine Belt Chevy Eatontown:

I own a limousine company and buy vehicles frequently. I would have to say that this car buying experience was the worst car buying experience of my life. I saw an SUV for sale online at Rt. 36 Pine Belt Chevrolet of Eatontown, NJ so I drove into the dealership on 1/6/12 to inquire about the price and the condition of the vehicle. After test driving the SUV the same day and negotiating the sale price I proceeded to make a large cash down payment on the vehicle. I made an agreement with the dealership in writing that the broken bumper would be replaced, the rain guards would be removed and that he would replace the exhaust for an additional $400.00. We also agreed that I would return in two weeks to pick up the vehicle and pay the balance. He confirmed that he would have the vehicle cleaned and fixed by that time. A few days before the agreed pick up date of 1/20/12 I called to confirm that I would be coming to pick up the car. When I showed up as planned the car was in the same condition that I left it in. Obviously I was very aggravated since I had already started selling my clients the SUV services, and I had an SUV order for the following day. The dealer told me to wait around and that he would have one of his mechanics take care of it immediately. After three hours of waiting he had replaced the exhaust, broke one of the rain guards while trying to remove it and didn't have a bumper to replace the broken one. He also didn't have a rain guard to replace the one that he broke and couldn't remove the glue holding it. I needed the car for the next day and he wouldn't release the vehicle without the balance, so I paid the dealership the balance on the car. This was minus the $2000.00 I was holding until he fixed the bumper and removed the rain guards, which again he had put in writing. As I walked out of the dealership I looked at the wording of the new agreement and saw that he had changed the wording on the new agreement from “replace the bumper” to “fix the bumper.” I walked back in and he said that he never agreed to replace the bumper. He said he had only agreed to fix it. I had to pull out the old agreement and show it to him. After three weeks of constantly calling the dealership to get the rest of the items fixed he called me back to bring the car in on 2/10/12. He said that it would take one to two hours to get it fixed, but again when I got there with the vehicle he changed his story. He told me that it would take the whole day to complete the repair and gave me a small car to get home with. I went back to pay off the balance and pick up the vehicle and I saw that the fuel gauge was on empty. When I had left the vehicle it was over half full. He also said that he wasn't able to remove the rain guards as he promised because it would have damaged the car. I drove the car for a few days and on 2/16/12 I was having transmission problems with the vehicle. I had to get the car towed back to dealership to get a rebuilt transmission, which took two days to complete. Luckily the vehicle was still under warranty and I had to pay only $85.00 for the tow. I requested that they would refund the cost of the tow, but they refused. On 3/8/12, two months after I purchased the vehicle I finally received the plates, and registration. The temporary plates expired on 2/18/12. I'm very aggravated with how this was handled by the dealership and the management Involved. I lost a lot of time dealing with this matter. I also suffered loss of business and revenue as a result of the dealer's negligence.

My Review Of Pine Belt Chevy Eatontown:

I purchased a certified pre-owned 2008 corvette z06 from them last year. The dealership was great ! nice people, great experience!

I also get the car serviced there and they go out of their way to make sure that you are more than satisfied with your experience (which i have learned is rare for american car dealers)
