My Review of Power Toyota Scion Buena Park:
Rude and arrogant guys running the show. They're all friendly just like how you expect when you walk in and within no time, prove themselves to be crooks.

Had an ad for $2000 off a Toyota Prius (03/22/08). Went to dealership, talked to this guy called Blair Wallace, who had also contacted my via the internet channel, the previous day. Says best price is $22300. I showed him the ad and he says those were specials and they only had 1 and that was $21828. I test drove it, seemed good although it had a scratch on the flimsy center console plastic. I said I would come the next day with my wife as she was not in town. And I got the 'Can't guarantee price tomorrow' as I left.

Went there next day (3/23) with the missus, met the same guy and asked if they had the car. He looked around and said yes. I asked him if it was the same price. He asks '$21828 ? Yes, thats the price'

Ok, to cut short the story (after we were 'treated' to water and popcorn), about 45 minutes later, after we filled in the credit request, we got an experience survey to fill. I gave high marks to everything. He takes it and comes back with the numbers on a sheet. Now I see the car's price as $21989 - $160 more than the $21828 we had worked on.

I ask why and he says its $2000 off MSRP which is $23989. I said thats not the price he quoted me. And he says, he does not remember the price he quoted me. And suddenly starts getting aggressive, completely dropping the friendly attitude. I said no way and he walks off.

Then I go to his boss where he was and say this is not ethical. His boss asks me if I wanted to let go of the deal for over $160. I said thats not the point - the point was to start from the price we agreed on. And next moment the jerk says 'What if I say we won't sell a car to you' and walks off.

And all this after getting the survey filled to their satisfaction. They're all thugs. Please be wary if you are in this dealership.

My Review of Power Toyota Scion Buena Park:
This dealer kept my car for a week and told me the engine needed to be replaced. Then they told me that because I was missing some oil receipts (car came from out of state) that they would not do a warranty repair. When I appealed to Toyota and Toyota called the dealer, the dealer told Toyota not to cover it (the service manager told me he said this to Toyota). I never met the guy and only spoke to him over the phone. His other employees told me that was wrong of him to do. I still don't know why he did it. I picked up my car to trade it in on a Honda, drove it around to dealerships all day, and nothing was wrong with it. I got offered a great trade-in amount from the Honda dealerships, and lousy trade-in offers from Toyota (I told ALL dealerships about the possible engine problem). Honda gave me a great deal - See Buena Park Honda! - and I LOVE my new Civic!!!
