npozholi 4/13/2013 1:18:32 PM Reason For Visit: Sales (New) I Recommend This Dealer: No Employee(s) Dealt With: Noah O Bryne Customer Service: 1 Quality of Work: 1 Friendliness: 1 Overall Experience: 1 Pricing: 2 Overall Score: 1.2 My Review Of Prestige Toyota Scion: Purchase:I purchased a 2012 Toyota RAV4 v6 LTD from them in Jan 2012. The dealers name was Noah O Byrne. It was painfully long process which involved a trade-in (from NJ) and promises of early delivery being delivered by week at a time. On arriving for purchase I realisedafter thoroughly inspecting the paperwork that the VIN was changed on me without me being told. Even the insurance firm was informed but I was never intimated.Finance:Despite me telling them that Toyota Financials pre-approved me for a loan they did not do due diligence on the same and submitted another request to Toyota Financials to rerun my credit. I also observed on some of the Finance Papers random VINs in place. Please double check every bit of paper work from them.Product:While all the above is bad, whats unacceptable is the quality of product from this dealership. In less than 2 months my car wouldnt start 4 times. Yes 4 times. I had to get Toyota Care to jump start it. On second jump start I took it to service center close to home and they replaced the battery. A week later it dies and I give it for servicing and they tell me the alternator is faulty and replace that too. On the next week it dies again with electric setting being the fault now. All this while getting 12-13mpg. The air conditioning doesnt function consistently sometimes blwoing cold air at 80F. Service:Initial Noah was responding to my call about complaints and trying to help. But since the battery 2nd visit to the service center (when I updated him about the faulty alternator via phone, email, text) he has not responded.Hi Manager who I spoke speaks rudely and says that now the car is under warranty so its should be taken care. Its as if they have done their job of selling a crappy product (pre-inspection done by Service Dealer missed out a faulty alternator) and not pass on the baton to Toyota Service.Bottom line is not to purchase from this dealership as they are ready to sell you anything and wipe their hands away when issues are reported. The service is rude or unresponsive. Was this review helpful to you? Yes | No Thank you Review Options Report This Review | Respond To This Review | Print This Review Write a Review
themafiadom 3/20/2013 5:15:52 PM Reason For Visit: Sales (New) I Recommend This Dealer: No Employee(s) Dealt With: Owner Charlie Roszko PJ Batinoe Customer Service: 1 Quality of Work: 1 Friendliness: 1 Overall Experience: 1 Pricing: 1 Overall Score: 1.0 My Review Of Prestige Toyota Scion: I Would NEVER do business with this dealership AGAIN! Buyer beware...after buying not one but three new Hyundias from Prestige my wife & I finally found out what they were all about. We leased a 2011 Sonata and in December, 6 months before the lease was up we recieved a notice from Hyundai offering a six month early buy out if we leased a new Sonata. Being that we were almost at out limit we decided to take them up on this offer. Six months later I got a bill from Hyundai financing saying that I had a balance of $1274 on my old lease due to an early termination...what!!??How can this be? After many phone calls to Hyundai I was told that the had tried to contact the dealership for several months and that they failed to fill out what they call a "pull ahead" form that would have rectified this. Really, a simple form could have fixed this issue? Furthermore after looking into Presitge further I had found that they had numerous compliants from buyers about their business practices. I called the dealership several times to try and find out why they refused to fix their mistake. After all it was their mistake and now I was being billed for it. I spoke with PJ Bastone in financing & Brian Mcarthy and they would not even return my phone calls. I then called Charlie Roszko who is the owner to try and get this resolved and not one call was returned. Not what I would call a professionally ran dealership! After not getting any return phone calls I decided to go to the dealership to see if I can speak with the owner Charlie....after getting the run around for about 30 minutes I found him by a counter and after explaining what had happened his answer to me was " I CANT DO ANYHTING ABOUT IT" I could not believe my ears. I explained that it was his dealerships mistake and asked why they were not filling out the pull ahead form to resolve this and he would not answer me. He then went on to say "I ADMIT IT WAS OUR MISTAKE BUT I AM NOT PAYING YOUR BILL TAKE ME TO COURT!!" Now I ask, what company would ever do business like this. I could not believe the blantent disregard for customer service & the rudeness of his staff. After they failed to file the new lease paperwork properly they left a customer with a $1274 bill and pretty much was told by THE OWNER to go F**K off. Now that coming from the owner tells you what kind of business this is & how they operate. I told the owner Charlie I would report him to the BBB if I had to, even start a blog...his response..."Go Ahead"! Do yourself a favor, buy or lease a car else where.TAKE MY ADVICE, STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP AS POSSIBLE!! BUYER BEWARE...Dominick Was this review helpful to you? nnishizaka 2/17/2013 9:42:41 PM Reason For Visit: Sales (New) I Recommend This Dealer: Yes Employee(s) Dealt With: Brian E. Clarke Customer Service: 5 Quality of Work: 5 Friendliness: 5 Overall Experience: 4 Pricing: 5 Overall Score: 4.8 My Review Of Prestige Toyota Scion: We drove 105 miles to get to Prestige Toyota in Kingston NY because they had one of the lowest prices in the NY area. We had a 11 month old child with us. Brian greeted us at the door, which gave us a great impression. They also had a play room which really came in handy. Me and my wife took turns test driving a few cars. Brian was extremely courteous, knowledgeable and professional throughout the process. Unfortunately, their computer systems went down so we could not close out the deal the same day so I had to drive back home then return the following afternoon. So that's another 105 miles! It was very nice of them to offer us a $100 gas gift card which made the hassle more palatable. That's the type of touch that goes a long way with me. The actual closing process was very easy. The Business Manager was always extremely courteous and professional. She did offer the usual things that are offered at closing, such as extended warranty coverage, however I never felt pressured into anything. In the end, I did take her up on the extended warranty, but that was only because I wanted it.Had it not been for the hassle of having to return the following day, I would not have hesitated to give Prestige 5 stars. My overall experience was extremely pleasant. I would definitely do business there again! Was this review helpful to you? 2011FJCruiser 2/16/2013 11:34:10 AM Reason For Visit: Service I Recommend This Dealer: No Employee(s) Dealt With: Ryan Basten Customer Service: 1 Quality of Work: 1 Friendliness: 2 Overall Experience: 1 Pricing: 1 Overall Score: 1.2 My Review Of Prestige Toyota Scion: When the wife of one of your customers drops his car off for an inspection, don't upsell her the entire 30k service as if it is required to pass inspection and provide an estimate that doesn't include labor. I maintain my vehicle since ToyotaCare ran out and I just put new BF Goodrich's on it. A $27 day turns into $500 because some grease monkey is changing differential fluid and tightening frame mounts on an FJ that never leaves paved roads. She thinks she's doing me a favor because they quoted her less than $200 verbally.... But the 30k service is a big job on an FJ- so they eat her whole day waiting and $500 I'd rather spend on just about anything else in the world. The money isn't what pisses me off- its more the Kingston team living up to the stereotype of up-selling and taking advantage of a vehicle illiterate woman. How do you think her perception of the situation is, when she excitedly tells me the "critical" work she had done to my FJ and I respond with "they absolutely took advantage of you". What is her perception of the integrity of your company? Of the industry? Was this review helpful to you? Neither is Prestige, mistakes were made! But it's the way that people fix things that tells the whole story! No need to go into details here, but be assured, if they screw up they fix it, quickly and with no attitude!I recommend this dealership without reservation for price, service and overall experience. Even my wife liked them! I traveled 100 miles round trip and it was worth every mile. I already have them looking for my wife's next car. Was this review helpful to you? sarah.imboden 1/10/2012 9:42:49 PM Reason For Visit: Sales (Used) I Recommend This Dealer: Yes Employee(s) Dealt With: Josh George Customer Service: 5 Quality of Work: N/A Friendliness: 5 Overall Experience: 5 Pricing: 5 Overall Score: 5.0 My Review Of Prestige Toyota Scion: We had a great experience at Prestige Toyota in Kingston. We were looking for a used RAV4 and were not pressured to look at anything other than what we were interested in. Josh took us around to the cars and was a great salesman -- helpful, courteous, responsive. Later we decided, completely on our own initiative, to get an even newer RAV4 than the one we initially looked at and Josh & co. were again very helpful without putting pressure on us at all. We felt like we were "in the driver's seat" the whole time, not overly managed at all, just the right amount. George did the actual paperwork side and was also very helpful and courteous. Overall, a great experience and we are very happy with our purchase. Will rate the service department once we have experience with it. Was this review helpful to you? pvaughn46 11/17/2011 3:56:39 PM Reason For Visit: Sales (Used) I Recommend This Dealer: No Employee(s) Dealt With: PJ Customer Service: 4 Quality of Work: 2 Friendliness: 3 Overall Experience: N/A Pricing: 1 Overall Score: 2.5 My Review Of Prestige Toyota Scion: The sales person we had was a very nice young man just starting in the business, he had no help or guidance in dealing with our situation. We started out asking him if we could even get financing on a used car for our daughter, as our credit is less than perfect. We picked out a car and filled out the credit application, He returned to us with a percentage rate and a payment amount that we were ok with. We specifically asked more than twice if we were approved and the answer was "Yes". As we proceeded to discuss the trade in our sales person had to constantly go in and out of PJ's office, we were kept waiting for long periods of time. We made an apt to return the next day with our trade in and when we arrived at the time of the appointment, we were left waiting for another 1/2 hour. The car we wanted said "certified pre owned" which tells me the car had been checked out before the sticker was put on it. Only to find out the car needed new brakes and rotors plus some other minor repairs. How can a dealership put that sticker on a car without ever inspecting the car? Buyer beware we are now told they do it all the time. Things just got worse from there, lots more waiting for the infamous PJ to come speak to us, we told our sales person we had to be somewhere else by a certain time, and we were still left sitting alone at the desk while PJ was suppossed to come talk. When PJ finally did arrive it was to give us a list of items he needed so he can "start" to work on the financing, all this came out after they got the $500 deposit from us they were after. The trade in amount came in as we expected, lower than it should have been, but what do you expect from a shady dealership? All in all, PJ called us 2 days later to say we had to put more money down on the car in order for him to secure financing. When it was suggested he give us more on our trade he was not interested and became very nasty on the phone. We are still waiting for our deposit check to be returned to us and will never do busines with PRESTIGE TOYOTA in KINGSTSON NY again. It is sad the owner probably isn't aware his staff is so rude. Of course PJ is probably the owners son or family member, when we asked to speak to someone above him we were told he was the big boss! Was this review helpful to you? Peter1nyc 6/24/2011 12:04:59 PM Reason For Visit: Sales (Used) I Recommend This Dealer: Yes Employee(s) Dealt With: Sales:Jay Delcengo & Bus.Manager PJ Customer Service: 3 Quality of Work: N/A Friendliness: 5 Overall Experience: 5 Pricing: 5 Overall Score: 4.5 My Review Of Prestige Toyota Scion: I did my research - and had a list of dealers to visit. Those guys were on top of my list do to pricing and their very quick no nonsense response to a AutoTrader inquiry.I was expecting usual BS from sales, but was pleasantly surprised with quickly moving and to the point conversation, good offer on trade-in and great price on the Camry, that I wanted. Maximizing on time, with no push with extras, we had a deal in less then 1 hour and that was with a test drive.Bus. Manager PJ also very efficient and again mentioned extras but with no push got all the paper work done. I was doing actual pickup on another day at 3:30pm ( time slot that me and PJ agreed on ) I was at dealer at 3pm, but PJ met me at 4:30pm or so that day.Another minor complaint is that I have not received my registration stickers yet - with DMV telling me that dealer have no submit my plate transfer yet. Calling PJ who was suppose to do this xfer just got me his voice mail with no return calls...This could have been my most perfect car buying experience ... if it was not for car plates which I'm still trying to resolve - and waiting time when specific time was assigned and my contact number left with PJ ...
