My experience with Price & Toyota Extended Warranty I purchased a 2012 Tundra from Price and paid for the extended warranty as well. The motor to this truck recently blew and heres a summary of my opini I purchased a 2012 Tundra from Price and paid for the extended warranty as well. The motor to this truck recently blew and heres a summary of my opinion and Price's actions. The guides to the timing chain broke (possible timing chain as well) and went through the motor (numerous broken plastic pieces found in the oil pan). I am currently under warranty but have been denied by Price & Extended Warranty on the basis that there is sludge in the bottom of my oil pan. In July of 2017, Price replaced my PCV Valve as I noticed the truck was having issues. The valve cover gasket was also replaced at that time by Price Toyota and no mention that there was sludge buildup on the valves. What Price could have done was also check & clean the pan as a faulty PCV Valve can result in damaging sludge to form during that period of time that it was faulty. Fast forward 1 year later (11k miles from the date of the PCV work) and my motor blows. My claim is denied on the basis on inadequate maintenance on my end based on sludge buildup. I offered to trade the truck in and purchase any used Tundra they have on their lot. The best the salesman could do is knock $500 off the ask price for a comparable 2012 Tundra. While no one at Price has been rude, it hurts to know Toyota & Price rather than find a solution prefer to hold their position for their immediate financial benefit. More
