My very recent (AWFUL) experience with this dealership:

Step1: Asked for an online quote from the internet business development (named Jason). The exact words were:

"We can sell you a ******** for as low as $*******, at the moment we do not have White. Come visit the dealership and take a look at what we have. If you don't like any of the 25 Camaros we have in stock, we can order you one that fits you better."

Step 2: Night before going emailed and got replies from Internet Director (named Jeffrey Ford).

Step 3: Drove 2 hours (construction on I-95). But still reached 10 minutes before the appointment time after cancelling some previous appointments.

Step 4: Was asked to wait. Waited for 45 minutes (yes that's right).

Step 5: Showed me all the models other than my model.

step 6: Then the manipulation starts: Why dont you lease? Why dont you take this low miles used 2013? etc. etc. I REPLIED: "I have the price, I have the CASH. I want the same car for the same price and just want to go on my way."

Step 7: "Oh that car is sold and the other similar models are higher in range"

Step 8: Lets take test drives in the "higher priced" models. I denied as I took a lot of test drives before I decided that car.

Step 9: After 3 HOURS: "We can sell you the car you wanted the quote for but there will be a something something charge of a thousand dollars. Ask anyone everyone has to pay that." NO!! NO ONE pays that, it is not tax or registration or title or document fee.

It was so much lie and manipulation and waste of time!! After I got out about 3.5 hours later, I felt like I left a dark dark place and felt relieved.

So if you have the money, just do yourself a FAVOR and go to some other place or atleast make sure a million times that the quote they are giving is the price these people will honor. I have visited so many dealerships bet never felt like people thinking me a STUPID and tried to MANIPULATE the xxxx out of me!!!

Same day went to a different dealer, yes the price was higher (from the internet quote I got from Quirk) but it was so xxxx SMOOTH!! They have my whole email conversation printed out, showed me the car and did the paperwork within an hour. AND the best thing I left SMILING even after the CRAPPY DAY.

George was very easy to work with. The process was very up front and easy. Everyone took their time to make sure I understood everything along the way. I had a tour of thedealership. I really like the Quick Lube area and that I am able to get an oil change there with out an appointment.

I bought a used car from Quirk - great experience! It didnt take forever, I had all my questions answered and didnt feel i was taken advantage of. Overall it was a great expereince and I would refer anyone to this dealership and Chris, my sales man. Price, rates, and quality of car was all better than I expected!

First I was insulted with my trade in they offered $4,000 and trade in value is $8,000 second the car i was looking at was priced at $17,998 and dealer retail on that car is only $13,000 third the sticker said no known body damage and the bumper is crushed in and the mirror is busted and the paint is full of chips not only that but the vehicle has NO warrenty most places will give a 30 day 1000 mile warrenty this was at the portland dealership not bangor

I am the owner of a 2001 z28 Camaro. I had to have the steering rack
replaced, the work was done at Quirk Chevrolet Portland Maine. Last
Weekend I took it on the highway about 25 miles. I smelled oil burning. I
get home and park.The next morning after a rain I see a rainbow coming
from my car. I bring it to another dealer and they tell me that a bolt, a
rack mount bolt was cut and left sitting on top of the rack right under
the oil pan. it put a hole in the pan that was now leaking oil. Quirk
looked up the paper work but said because it was a repaired over a year
ago they would do nothing. They were the only people to work on it. They
will never touch my car again!

went in for a state inspection for a Pontiac Grand Am with 51000 miles and was handed a list of aprox #5000.00 in repairs, which includes rusted rocker,noisy hubs.soft rear fram,replacement of brake lines and fuel lines rusted rear links etc. Took this car to another DEALER and they found NO RUST on the body two rear brake lines that should be looked at and no other problems for the sticker. My conclusion "BIG RIPE-OFF specialist..Must need to generate alot of shop work to make up for soft sales.
PS I went back to the service manager and I might as well have been Barking at the moon. MY take is avoid this dealer!!!!!
