My Review of RK Toyota Volvo:
Great experience!! I will never buy another car without using the internet - and I doubt it will be any dealer other than RK.

My Review of RK Toyota Volvo:
Deal has shown incompetance with even simple service problems like brakes. My 'check engine' light was on and this dealer told me I needed to replace the engine. In fact, the problem was a bad tank of gas.

My Review of RK Toyota Volvo:
I purchased my 06 Scion tC October 17th. I just found this site the other day. I read the reviews and am somewhat surprised.

I first went to the dealer with no interest the begining of October just to test drive for giggles. The guy that helped me (dont know name) was helpful. But while he was getting the keys another gentleman came up to me and was RUDE. I walked out.

I went back a week later and Ryland Thomas (doesnt work there anymore) approached me. He was respectful to me and my wife. My wife was cold so he got her a jacket. I was thirsty and I had drinks. I test drove the car and he knew his stuff about the car. I said I wanted it with the options I wanted. He didnt try to sell anything extra. I said I wanted to put zero down and not use there financing.

Joanie (I think was her name) was the finance person. I told her i had a bank with like 5.5% apr. She said toyota couldnt beat it but she knew a bank that could. She got me 4.05%. Signed the paperwork and walked out. 2 weeks later I picked up my car.

I got alot of extras with the car to be installed. The TRD parts guy was great (maybe because I bought 3 grand in parts then another $4000 in the supercharger.) John in maintenance helps with all my little stuff. Gets me in for oil changes short notice and never forgets my name or car.

The people there (that I deal with) are great. From my first experience I just ignore anyone that I have never dealt with and go about my business.

There $450 processing fee sucks. But when paying $20,000 whats another $450.

My Review of RK Toyota Volvo:
I wish that I had read some of these reviews prior to walking into RK Toyota. My experience with RK is similar with others, but different in its own way. I have been back and forth to this dealer 5 times working on a deal for an '05 Tacoma. We finally came to an OTD price, and also a trade-in amount for my current truck, all was good. The only thing left to do was find a truck in my specified color, and we had a deal. I got called back in for a so-called 0% financing (that never panned out) and to locate a truck in my color. They started to re-negotiate the price of the truck even though we had settled on a price prior. Needless to say, thesenegotiations went nowhere and I went out the door. In hindsight, and reading these prior reviews, maybe I am lucky this this deal didn't go through....

My Review of RK Toyota Volvo:
WOW--the WORST car dealership experience I've had. I walked out as did another guy who stated "I won't be jerked off like this"
HIGH, HIGH pressure...even claimed they wouldn't tell me current incentives unless I took a test drive...yes those same incentives in the papers or on Toyota.com
They have a dealer markup printed on all of their MSRP stickers and then tell you about how much the last guy got off of MSRP--because they tack on about $1500 per vehicle
The final staw was when the manager berated me for expecting a good price when he was going to have to work to get the car from another dealer. STAY AWAY

My Review of RK Toyota Volvo:
I take my 98 volvo s70 there for services. My father who owns a 95 volvo 850 also takes his car to RK. Every time I pick up my car they take information from dad's car and work on my car. I have to end up waiting hours at the end of the day for them correct the problem and redrain the oil to put the correct oil type in etc.. This has happened the last two services and I am tired of the stupidy.

My Review of RK Toyota Volvo:
To whom it may concern:<br>I am writing this in regards to my experience and headaches at Toyota/Scion of Hampton, Virginia. My husband and I just came home from Operation Iraqi Freedom II and on our way to our next duty station in Montana, and decided we needed a new truck. Are first thought was how much we would like a new Toyota. Well if we knew then what we know now, we would of saved ourselves a lot of headaches. The service we received at Toyota/Scion of Hampton was what you would expect from one of those little dealers that you hear horror stories about and are warned to stay away from because they are all crooks. A total disappointment of what we had expected from a higher end dealer. <br>First not only were we lied to about what we agreed upon they try to make fools out of us. every questioned I asked no one knew. They couldn&#8217;t tell me anything. What kind of Morons runs this place? They can&#8217;t even answer the simplest questions. I guess my husband and I should of used our better judgment and just said forget it but we had our heart and depended on that truck to get us to Montana with all of our belongings, so we were in a Bermuda triangle. <br>Fast forward, we drive to Montana waiting on our new account numbers and paperwork about the truck that supposed to come before our 30 day tags run out and now they call my mothers house in Virginia to tell us to come down on Monday to sign some papers? Three weeks later and we still have papers to sign? What is going on? Toyota and I think just about everybody in that dealership knew we were going to Montana that next week! They had assured us everything that needed to be done was done! I might not know all the fine details that go along with buying a car and how to do it well but I do know that this is the worst experience of my life. It is so bad that I would hope this could never happen to anyone else. I didn&#8217;t even think this could be legal. It is really sad when a company takes advantage of the very people that keeps them in business. To take advantage of military veterans of war that fought for their own freedom! We might not be happy with our situation but I know we will get over it. But we will always remember the way we were treated and we will be able to tell our story to other Hard Working Americans that deserve better. One voice and others will follow. <br><br> <br>

My Review of RK Toyota Volvo:
First of all I would like to say that Jack gueye needs to be fired. He is a very pushy salesman &amp; made my wife cry &amp; didnt appoligize. I went to rk to see if i could get a new vehicle and trade in my old one. I spoke to jack gueye and he said he can work with me. My wife was 7 months pregnant so she was very uncomfortable. We looked around and I found a vehicle, a 05 toyota corrolla s something that my wife could drive. So we test drove it and then came the paper work. We were in the show room for hours dont forget my wife is pregnant and started to get tired. All they would say is five more minutes. So jack comes back and says bring me a 1000$ down payment &amp; we will take your vehicle and get you into this new toyota. My wife &amp; I said the car is too pricey &amp; we can't afford it. Then jack started giving me crap that my car is not even worth a dollar &amp; will eventually break down on me but they are willing to trade it in for the remainding balace of 3000. So I finally gave in and said ok brought him a check the next day. We ended up waiting in the showroom for 4 hours waiting for jack to come back he would come and say five more minutes. We spoke to adris and giles which were very nice guys in the financing department and the deal was set $1000 for a 05 corrolla s for $485.00 a month. I thought this was a big rip off because the car cost was $19,000and the total cost was $36,000 but hey we needed a new car. Lets not forget my wife &amp; i were first time buyers at the time, so we went in blind to the place not knowing anything about purchasing a vehicle. We were told we were being financed through a bank and everything was set. So we went home with a new vehicle. I notified my old car dealership back home that i had traded in my vehicle and that rk was going to pay it off. My dad purchased my vehicle and i am paying for it just in case you ask. 1 Week passes and old dealership calls saying that they havent recieved a payment for my vehicle. I call rk and sure enough spoke to jack gueye he said dont worry everything is being taken care of. We will call them and let them know that we are sending them a check for the payoff. So I said fine thinking everyhthing was ok. Rk called back three days later saying they need me to bring in the vehicle back because our credit was not approved and they could not find a bank that would finance me or my wife. I said wait a min we left being told that everything was ok and we were being financed and the payment was set and all. How did all this happen if they had not gotten a bank yet? I was so upset I went back saw jack and said here are they keys give me my vehicle back. He told me no wait who called you. I told him that we were'nt approved unless we brought in 4000$ and he still insited. I said no I want my keys so he left us there. I got my keys from giles and jack was not to happy with that, he raised his voice real loud for everyone to hear and said &quot; who gave you your keys&quot; I left &amp; he called the next day saying he could get us into a smaller vehicle like an echo and i said no stop calling. We didnt get our check back until two weeks later. If they were to call for the evaluation the time i turned in the vehicle i would have gotten him fired &amp; he said say good things and i will give you a 100$ worth of free gas. &quot; In the state of Tx if the consumer has the vehicle for more than a week orally told the were approved and come to find out you'rnt at the end of that week you get a free vehicle.&quot;<br>

My Review of RK Toyota Volvo:
RUN FAR AWAY! This is the WORST Toyota dealership in Hampton Roads for many, many reasons.<br>1) They add $1500 dealer mark-up to every new vehicle and then try to tell you how much they are giving off of the sticker that day<br>2) Very high pressure...they called my neighbor 5 times in one afternoon to try to convince him to come back to look at a used car he told them he wasn't interested in<br>3) They actually brought out a mid level manager to berate and chastise me for not wanting to buy a truck on their lot (didn't have one with the options I wanted on it) and that it was going to cause him a lot of extra work to find it.<br>4) They charge a $420 processing fee (pure profit)...highest fee in the state of VA<br>5) Old school/high pressure/lets only talk about the payment tactics<br>6) Will not let you test drive a vehicle on your own<br>7) Tried to sell me the vehicle the manager was driving around and you couldn't even see the back seat because there was so much crap in it<br><br>I could go on and on. I was one of three people that walked out, pissed-off in a 30 minute period. They feed on uneducated customers and try to force/pressure you into a vechile that day.<br><br>They lost their Volvo dealership because of their track record...Toyota should do the same.<br><br>Don't even stop by...try Priority Toyota or Denbigh Toyota instead.

My Review of RK Toyota Volvo:
I went back to RK today for resolution. Jay Cunningham was much easier to talk with. He was much more professional than Joanie. He removed the items off my contract which Joanie either under informed us or gave false information on. Also the car was not detailed as it should have and Jay fully refunded the $515 fee for detailing. I also received 3 years of oil changes, coolant changes, and state inspections. I am happy with the resolution however feel that the deal should have went this way from the beginning. To Jay's credit he tried his best to insure that I was pleased when I left.<br><br><br>This review was submitted twice by accident. So the below review is also mine however I only meant to submit one.
