My Review of Regal Motors:
Avoid this dealer at ALL costs! Total waste of time. Dishonest! I saw this silver 2003 BMW 540i I had been looking for advertised by Regal Motors for a reasonable price on Craigslist. Laster someone kindly posted a link to this dealer review site. The reviews for Regal motors were terrible. The only good reviews were phoney ones written by the Regal Salesman David. I should have listed to the reviews. Well, long story short, I really wanted this car so I drove over an hour to Stafford Virginia with my wife to go look at the car. The car was indeed everything I had hoped as far as condition. However, then the trouble started. David, salesman agreed to repair certain items on the car, prior to completing a sale. Also, they only had a valet key for car. Normal keys for this car cost around $150. He agreed initially to get items fixed & have key ready for final sale if we would place a deposit & sign a contract. However, when we asked to have the Key & repairs promised put in the contract, they refused. David, who had been friendly up to that time, was very rude when trying to negotiate contract. He sudden became a "typical used care salesman. All we asked for was very reasonable and what he promised. So, thank God we were able to walk out on that deal. So please, take head of these reviews! Do not waste your time & money!

My Review of Regal Motors:
I went to this dealer looking at a 2007 Honda Civic Lx. After a few months of looking at cars online, my girlfriend and I decided to buy this. So, I drove 70 miles from Richmond to Stafford to finally see it. When I get there, the first thing I'm asked is if I'm looking for financing. I said I wouldn't mind looking into it. Immediately I was told that they didn't do financing (counter to what their website says) quite rudely. So I said that's okay, I have good credit with my bank, a loan would be no problem. I asked if I could look at the vehicle. He pointed in the direction of the car and said "it's over there, go look." The car was locked, and no one was interested in helping me. I left in anger, only to come back because I had driven such a distance, and it was a good price. This time I talked to David, test drove the car, and when I got into anything with the warranty or carfax report, it seemed like he was making things up on the spot. They would "look into" an extended warranty, "maybe." He said he would email me the carfax. I left him my email. I didn't receive one three days later, so I called and asked for it again. I left my email again. I didn't receive it two days later. I called again and the car had sold. This entire experience was horrible.

If you go to them, buy a porsche. They seemed to be paying attention to that gentleman.

My Review of Regal Motors:
Well.. Long Story
I have been dreaming and cutting out of my income to pay for my mortgage so I can buy a decent car. I went to cars.com and noticed this Honda Accord. I live at least 2 hours away so it was an issue getting there, but I went ahead and did that.

I basically went to the dealership who seemed to look like they were busy and just gave me the key to the car. I test drove it and everything seemed to be ok.. except that the passenger seat clunked with driving and the engine coolant was out. So, I asked the usual questions. Is there an issue with this car? I got the NO.
Then 2 women who claimed that they lived pretty far apparently arrived saying that they want to buy the car, so I said I'm considering buying it. I'm not sure if that was a setup.
I also then asked if they could fix the issues I noticed and they agreed to do so. I waited for half an hour and went ahead and bought the car.

I signed all the paperwork. I was mistaken not to pursue a carfax record myself. But, hey what full blown functioning dealership would not inform you about it.
There was only one key and he said that he will mail me the manual and the spare key within a week.

I get home and 2 days later.. my sister tells me to check about the car.. because she saw a TV show about sales of stolen cars. So, I went ahead and checked its carfax record and it's a salvage car.
I worked so hard for my money.. long shifts...it was heartbreaking ..

I called the motor vehicle dealer board. They contacted the dealership with the presumption that they cannot sell a car without letting the buyer know it's salvage.

Well, apparently they say that there is a document that i signed that said the car is salvage. I don't have a copy of this document and they never provided me with it. They then never sent any manual or key and told me to get them myself and that sale is final.

I am usually a very careful buyer, but I feel these guys are professional scammers.

I obviously late enough realized that there were poor reviews of these guys. I wish I could do something about it to officially expose these guys and put them out of buisness. I would definitely be willing to work with the people here who have had problems in exposing these guys.

Thanks for reading

My Review of Regal Motors:
I am beyond mad at this point. I purchased a car from these rip offs just 3 weeks ago. My dad and I sat in their office for 4 and a half hours, basically pushing them into every move they made. One person would be helping us, then he would disappear. This happened twice. The car I was looking at needed to be aligned and have a lock fixed. Instead of getting this done while we waited on the info on my financing, they let the car sit in the lot for 2 hours. My dad and I then had to 'suggest' they send it to be fixed. During the 4.5 hours, I asked for a car fax report 3 times. Each time, JIMMY made up what ended up being another excuse. Before signing paperwork, he said he would e-mail me the car fax and I would have 30 days to return the car if I was unsatisfied. I signed the papers and left, 4.5 hours after arriving. In the last 3 weeks, I have made three phone calls to them, attempting to get a car fax report. Each time, the different person made up a story that sounded good to them and told me they would e-mail it that day. Having called the third time with no results, I decided they must be hiding something so I obtained the car fax on my own!! Low and behold, the car is total loss and has a branded title! I have contacted my lawyer and plan to pursue this further. I would suggest that EVERYONE stay as far away from these crooks as possible! It appears that they're entire lot is totaled vehicles! STAY AWAY!!!

My Review of Regal Motors:
We saw the car online. It had a good price. Went to see it and bought it that night. It looked great. It was for me (my first car) my dad checked it out it was alright. 4 days later it wouldnt start. big hassel dealing with JIMMY. None of the RIGHT people we needed to talk to were ever there. JIMMY couldnt do anything. He paid SOME of what the battery cost, not all. Im still within my warranty. I'm calling tomorrow, theres a list of new problems.

-It rains in the car (seal on door is broken, now carpet is gross)
-No Carfax YET! ( asked for one when bought it, the GUY wasnt there.)
-it has been in an accident, the passenger side door WAS red. now black like the rest
-hood of car looks like crap ( needs wax ) not their problem
-radio is broken (he said as i and my father drove off that we could bring it back and get it fixed for free)
-door handel falls out
-ANTS IN THE CAR! we dont have as many red ant as ive seen in this car where i live

Multiple phones calls made to Regal Motors...Overall, my questions were never aksed and there seemed to be only one person doing sales who called himself a manager and then proceeded to hang up on me...Very shady...rude...how can any dealership tell a potential customer "you ask too many questions"...Refused to run a carfax...which is a big hint...I knew more about the car than he did...

My Review of Regal Motors:
I bought a pickup truck from these people. The check engine light came on when I test drove it. I returned the truck and told them the light was on and was assured they would repair it. I went to lunch and returned later that day to find that the engine light was no longer on. Jimmy told me that he had fixed the problem and it was fine now. So I bought the truck. The next day the check engine light was on again. I took it to a mechanic who said that the hoses in the emissions system were cracked and needed to be replaced. He replaced them and the light went off. A day later, the light was on again. Now, it is back in the shop and my mechanic (a guy who I've gone to for years) is telling me that the canisters in the emissions system are bad and I'm looking at $500-$600 in repairs.
I contacted Jimmy at Regal motors and so far he's blown me off. This dispute is just getting started but I'm starting to realize I was insane to deal with these people. It isn't worth it to contact my attorney since I purchased an older model work truck. However, if these people do not address the problem I will see them in small claims court.
DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER BUYING A VEHICLE FROM REGAL MOTORS!!
