"Disappointed hard working American."

After a few months of looking around for a Mazda3 for my wife, we decided that Reliable Mazda in Springfield MO had one we were interested in. It was about a 1-1/2 hour drive south for us. The car drove great, and we were ready to make a deal. It was a Certified 2013 Mazda3 with 34,800 miles on it. After sitting down to make an offer, I offered them $800 below their asking price. They came back with $400 under their asking price and would not budge. After retuning home empty handed and with an upset wife, I continued my search to find that good deal out there for a Mazda3. I found one exactly the same as the one at Reliable Imports, except it was a 2012 but with only 14,600 miles on it not Certified though, at Joe Machens Mazda in Columbia MO. The price was right but not Certified, so my wife and I decided to go back to Reliable in a feeling of defeat not really getting a good deal, but atleast it was a good Certified Car. On the trip down to Springfield, Machens called me several times trying to earn my business. So while sitting in Reliable Imports parking lot, Machens offered to give me the car at the original price I offered Reliable, Certify the 2012 Mazda3, and deliver it to my house! If I was unhappy with it, they would take it back. So I went in to Reliable, to see if a deal could be made with them, and I was treated like I was some kind of second class citizen or something. The manager was very rude! They told me that they had reiterated to me, that was their final price and they would only be making $9 on the sale. B.S.!!!!! Oh and by the way if you read this Reliable, the one who made the smart xx remark when I was walking out is lucky I was in a hurry to call Machens back, because I would have turned around and slapped the xxx RIGHT OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!!!!!!!!!! The salesman we dealt with, Zack, was great at Reliable. If I were you Zack, I'd go to a different dealership to work for, you deserve better. It's the Management that is falling short at Reliable. Long story short, stay as far away from these CLOWNS as you can. Same goes for all the Reliable Dealers down there. Machens gave me an outstanding deal. Machens was unable to get the car to me that day because of the rigorous Certified process, but they sent down two different colored brand new Mazda3s for my wife to choose from to drive until they could get our car to us. Now that's what I call customer service!! As someone who works hard for their money, this is the car buying experience I was hoping to find. I am extremely happy with Machens and will return for the next car I buy in the future.

"Only reason I didn't walk out was I wanted the car"

Went in with an appointment to see an orange crosstrek. Got there no orange. OK I can settle for another color. The sales guy obviously was a little dense and kept pushing his pitch. Shut up let me drive the car. Finally get through that and do financing paperwork. My credit is 824. Should be a quick process sign and drive. Oh xxx no. I wait listening to our sales man continuing to try to sell me 5th can I already am committing to I am forced to tour the sales department. Really. I do not need this. However the mechanic knows something about Subaru. He should have been the sales man. Far less obnoxious. Courtney in finance was awesome though. She was 5th fastest part of the experience. And she was not obnoxious. The entire process took almost 4 hours. I have been in dealers who had me in and out with a car in under 2. It was a lot of pointless waiting. Had I not been set on a crosstrek I would have walked out.

"Completely Dishonest and Deceitful"

The sales manager is possibly the most dishonorable and dishonest man I've ever met. After presenting us with a ridiculous offer we spent hours negotiating the offer for the trade in and the sales price. Unbeknownst to the sales manager I had looked at the price they were advertising online prior to the negotiation. After their last "final" offer on day one it still wasn't to the online price. I gave them another day, they called and offered another price, still higher than they were advertising online. On day three when I went in and asked why we weren't offered his dealerships online price for the exact same car, he straight up lied and said it had been changed that day, when I showed proof that it had been that price all along he straight up denied it, eventually claiming he must have read it wrong. Yet even after all that he still refused to apologize for lying about the "lowest possible offer." In fact, he told us the higher price (not the lower price offered online) was forcing him to take a loss on the car. The salesman was great, but his manager who is in charge of the final price, cannot be trusted. If you're set on buying a Mazda then I'd suggest doing it at a different dealership. Remember, you're not just buying a car, you're buying a relationship with the dealership for the life of the car. Do you want a relationship with someone that will lie to your face?

"My Second Impression"

We had a very bad experience the first time we came into Reliable Subaru to purchase our 2014 Subaru Outback. Upon hearing our complaint the general manager (Trevor) and the customer service manager (Misty) went above and beyond to change our initial impression. Overall we are pleased with the treatment we received from Reliable Subaru. I have no doubt the sale associate that gave us the poor customer service is not the normal culture at that dealership. I would recommend buying a new car from Reliable Subaru to my friends and family. Thank you for making my wife happy with her new car.

"What a joke"

First of all, the car I wanted was advertised for 1000$ less on the website than they were really selling it for. This should have been enough to soho me away but I was stupid and really wanted this car in this car. Anyways, my brand new car had a ding and paint chipped and Reliable Mazda acted like they had no idea it was there. I live 3 hours away and they told me to just come back later to get it fixed. When I came back, they did not fill my car with gas or anything like they said they would. After wasting an entire day and tank of gas, I came to the realization that they did a half-done job at fixing the ding, and did not repair the chipped paint at all. All in all, Reliable Mazda is completely unreliable.

"We are from the St Robert area and own a Hyundai Sonata...."

We are from the St Robert area and own a Hyundai Sonata. This can be a problem when it comes to service if you live far from the Springfield area. The first couple times we tried to arrange for a loaner car to enable us to get around while the car stayed in the shop all day. This did not work out in part I believe because we did not get to speak directly to Mark Mahoney in person. However, my faith is restored! Although we were not able to get a loaner this service trip and needed to take two cars, Mark was great. He was very sympathetic to our plight and our rational for a loaner when we do have to make the 200 mile trek. He assured me he would work personally with me in the future on a loaner. Mark discussed my cars issues and quickly informed me that there were also two recall repairs needed ( I was not aware) and made sure all my issues were annotated. When I came to get my car Mark briefed me and made sure I understood everything that was done or would require a wait for parts to come in, when they would arrive etc. He took me out to my car which had been washed, filled up with gas for the inconvenience with needing to drive two cars for 400 miles. I have to say I had a great service experience and am fully satisfied. So thank you Mark Mahoney for what turned out to be great customer service, Jim

My husband & I (Carroll & Kathleen) We just moved here from the west coast & we just LOVE, LOVE the people here at RELIABLE IMPORTS in Springfield, MO. The customer service people & service department are the BEST we have had the PLEASURE to meet & work with. Mark Mahoney in the service department is OUTSTANDING. They do not OVER CHARGE you or give you a line that you need to service this or that, because it is time. They check your vehicle out completely & when they see a problem or not a problem, they point it out to you & give you a reasonable opinion of what should be done or NOT DONE. Thank you Mark Mahoney & everyone else at Hyundai. We even checked out new cars, just to pass some time while waiting & we did not feel PRESSURED by salesmen at all. I've talked with Tiffany & Kimberly one the phone & these two young ladies were also so very friendly & helpful. AGAIN......Thank you "MARK", Tiffany, Kimberly & sales department people for a great EXPERIENCE!!

My wife and I recently purchased a new Subaru Outback and were exceptionally pleased with the entire buying process at Reliable Subaru. Our sales rep Dennon was super to work with, and really knows his product. The negotiating process was very quick and fair, and we are very happy with the fact that we got a terrific deal without any stress or drama! The financing process with Mike was also a great experience. We were approved through the bank at a crazy low 1.7%, but Reliable Subaru beat that by almost half, 0.9%! I know that most people will tell everyone when they have a problem, but forget to tell anyone when they have a great experience, so I wanted to be sure to post here what an extremely satisfying experience we had, and highly recommend them to anyone looking to get into a new ride. A positive, quick and no hassel experience. Have bought several cars over the last few years and this is a professional operation. The salesman was pleasant, knowledgeable, patient and never pushy. Felt like he would have spent all day working with me if needed. Stayed with me during the wait for finance and made sure I was taken care of. Russell did the follow up call and was sincere about making sure I was happy. The finance process took less time than average and the finance agent was friendly and thorough. Would definitely recommend the sales person and the dealership.
