Reason for Visit: Service

I recommend this dealer: Yes

My Review of Rinke Toyota:
I visited the dealership recently and they did a good job communicating upfront, during and after the service. The price was competitive, and they checked but did not push for additional services. The staff was friendly and quick.

My Review of Rinke Toyota:
Buyer beware (2006 review). I have been a satisfied customer for years, but recently the dealership staff attitude has changed for the worse. 1. They no longer are willing to negotiate service prices to beat the local competition.
2. They lowered their efforts to provide excellent service, and increased the sales pressure. Now they are always asking for expensive add-on services, while they only repaired what was needed in the past.
3. They even removed the complimentary 'car wash' (basically a hosedown by the lowest paid employee - saving the dealer $5.00). They said that in cold weather the door lock would freeze - even after I asked for the wash.
4. I came to the dealer for 'Genuine Toyota' service. I was surprised to find that the $296 starter was remanufactured. I wanted to at least be offered the option to choose genuine Toyota, rather than remanufactured parts.

Be forewarned of their new emphasis on profit, instead of quality and customer satisfaction.

Reason for Visit: Sales

I recommend this dealer: No

My Review of Rinke Toyota:
I dealt with dealer ship over the internet and phone. When I went in to talk to the salesperson I FOUND OUT NOT ONLY DID THAY NOT HAVE ANY OF THE MINIVAN'S THEY E-MAILED ABOUT BUT WERE NEVER ABLE TO GET THEM. The salesperson told me that those were only examples. In fact they did not have any Toyota Sienna mini-vans in stock to show me. The salesperson told me after a seach that only 1 minivan was avalable in the tristate area had the rear sensors I wanted and it was the one color I had told him I did not want.
WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME.

My Review of Rinke Toyota:
I purchased a vehicle and received a coupon booklet at Rinke Toyota. The coupon booklet included discounts and other perks: 10% off a repair over $300.00, $21.00 oil change, and free brake inspection, etc. I have used the coupon booklet without any problems in the past. Today, (6/10/06) I went in for the free brake inspection and was told that the coupon booklet is not be honored any longer. The main problem is that Chris, the service rep was very rude, disrespectful and offensive in explaining the matter. I questioned and challenged the fairness of the change. There was no expiration date and I still own the car. Shouldn't the offer/perks extended with the purchase of the car apply to the car? I was not rude or disrespectful. I accepted the fact that the coupon wouldn't be honored. I then asked to get and oil change, but did not have my card. I asked him to look up my service record in the computer. He refused. He said he would not provide any service because he did not like my "attitude". I left the dealership. Maybe Chris was having a bad morning, but his behavior is unacceptable. There are few things that distinguish one dealership and brand from the other. One of the most important is customer service.

I am both appalled and disappointed in the way this matter was handled. I would like to have the coupon booklet that was provided with the purchase of my vehicle honored. It is important that both parties of the vehicle purchase agreement honor both the implied and explicit terms and conditions of the agreement. I have honored my terms of the agreement. Should Rinke Toyota honor theirs?

Respectfully,
Mr. Lynn Robinson
