Service says the motor in this car isn't covered "Let us do a diagnostic for $189 it's probably a knock sensor" Says Stacey in service. She basically says my mechanic is an idiot with old diagnostic equipment. I agree to have them run the diagnostics. She calls me on Weds and says there oil leaking into the spark plugs but good news-you don't need a motor. Spark plugs, oil change,valve cover gasket, pcv valve, some throttle thing with a total price of $1250. Then we'll run it through the diagnostics again and it shouldn't be anything major. So I agree. On Friday (today)I call there to see what's going on and she tells me the timing chain is bad $3000 + to fix it! Why would I agree to $1250 if there was another $3000 coming?? Why didn't the 1st diagnostic show a bad timing chain?? She says she'll adjust my bill and it's now $1398!! When I pick up the car my bill is $1650! I tell the service mgr Jason I'm calling the corporate office and the Better Business Bureau to complain. He responds with I don't care what you do! Feels like bait and switch. More
