My Review Of Rosen Kia of Elgin:
I went to this dealership with my wife to view two cars they had a Mitsubishi gallant and nissan sentra. Upon arrival I was greeted by a young man named Craig. He grabbed the keys to both cars after scanning my license when he went to start the nissan it didn't turnover. I sat in the passenger seat and there was ash from cigarettes all over the seat. He blamed the mechanics. While they were jump starting the nissan we drove the gallant. During the test drive Craig remained silent. I ask what mpg it got since it wasn't posted. He did not know. I ask what was left of the warranty he did not know. I ask several questions he did not have answers for any of them. We got back to the dealership and then hopped in the sentra he again remained silent. Didn't ask how we planned to finance how we liked. The vehicle nothing! Once we got back we sat down inside. He still didn't say anything so I asked" what do you got for us?" He showed us the carfax. Then said I need you to fill out a credit application. I replied" don't you want to know if we have a down payment" He snapped at me" well how much do you have!" Me in shock that he took this tone with me said $2500.
I explained we wanted a rough estimate of payment, loan term, average interest rate based on our information which we havent gone over yet. He snapped at me again well do you know your exact credit score! I replied" no I have superb credit though, I also have a vehicle to trade in."
He cut me off and said,"is that vehicle with you." Me "no." Craig snapped again well do you know the VIN? I took a deep breathe. Trying to restrain myself from this incredibly rude jerk. "No, I do not have the vin but you should be able to tell me what you can give me approximatley based on year, make, model, miles. He stilled off and said let me ask my manager.
He came back with the manager. His name was Jeff he sat down he was just as big of jerk as Craig. He asked questions but was rude also with an irritated tone. Told us that they cant give us approximate trade in value without the VIN. I told him its worth about $2,000 but he didn't seem to want to sell a vehicle because he didnt give me the ball park figures I was asking for, then told me I probably didn't make enough to get a car loan. Which I make $48k+ a year well enough to buy a $10k vehicle.
Overall the salesmen didn't help me, didn't treat me with respect, didn't answer questions, didn't seem to be knowledgeable. This was the worst customer service I have ever seen I would not reccomend this dealer to anyone. Save your self the time and go somewhere else.
