About Royal Chevrolet

Royal Chevrolet has been family owned and operated since 1966. It’s founder Anthony Staropoli brought an incredible work ethic & the basic philosophy that you should treat people the way you would like to be treated to his fledgling business.

At that time located on Union Ave. in Bound Brook, Tony could be spotted at virtually any hour and in any Dept between making the coffee for employees at 6:00am & locking up at 9:00pm.

Royal came to have a strong affinity with the community of Bound Brook then General Motors suggested that we move to Rt22, so off we went. Anthony’s sons both joined the business right out of college. Anthony was a constant presence until his passing at 93 in 2007.

Glen and Gary Staropoli continue to share their fathers ethics and same basic philosophy. Especially his strong belief that every person should be treated as an individual. To those who claim that in these times and this economy that philosophy is no longer practical Glen and Gary will say it is the only way they know and that they never want to change.

Royal Chevy really went the extra mile for me. They found the exact car I wanted at the price I could afford. It's everything I wanted it to be and then some. Joe and Mike took the time to explain everything to me and I couldn't be happier.

My Review Of Royal Chevrolet:

Last year I Purchased a 2010 certified 4 cyl Equinox at Royal and although I have had many issues with the vehicle Royal Chevrolet has provided support,Anthony in the service department is the absolute best and Royal is lucky to have a person like him,he has treated me with courtesy,respect and I truly consider him a friend,(I have been to the service dept at least 10 times within a year) his professionalism,customer service and support is EXCEPTIONAL.He has gone above and beyond to assist me with the issues of my Equinox.I have to be honest and state that the 4 cyl Equinox does have design issues and the 4 cylinder engine is noisy and it struggles,which is really a shame because if it were a 6 cylinder it would be a great vehicle but I dont fault Royal Chevy at all,the fault lies with GM the builder of the vehicle.The only regret I have is buying the 4 cylinder I should have purchased the 6 cylinder.With that being said Royal Chevrolet has treated me very well and they have been there for me 110% and have given me several loaners while repairs were made on my Equinox.I feel comfortable saying that they will -have your back- and if you need them they will be there for you!.Note to GM--stop making the 4 cylinder engine the extra few MPGs is not worth the trouble, the Equinox in the 6 cylinder engine version I believe is a great vehicle because my neighbor has one and she says its a great trouble free little SUV.
Anthony I thank you kindly for everything you have done for me and I appreciate your support and dedication to customer service.I have been to your service department so many times and you have made me feel like a friend,.
I am not upset or angry with Royal in any way shape or form the choice of buying the 4 cylinder Equinox was mine not theirs,I would buy from them again only because of Anthony and once I get rid of the negative equity in my 4 cylinder Equinox I will buy from them again only this time I will buy a 6 cylinder,and I am not sure if I would buy a Chevrolet vehicle but if I do it will have to be a 6 cylinder and they also have many used cars from other manufacturers.
Anthony may God Bless you! I dont know what I would have done if it were not for you! keep up the good work!
P.S. My son has a 2007 Chevy Impala which he purchased new and now has 100,000 miles and it has been a great car for him..

My Review Of Royal Chevrolet:

Good Experience.

Negotiated online initial pricing points & financing - good experience.
Additional Negotiations at delership - reasonable outcomes.

Dont like they charge a fee of $400 every car sold reffered to as a Pack - but all dealerships do this now - except when buying from a rental car fleet (but then not certified pre owned).

Didnt love that my air conditining went out a week after puchase - but the warranty did cover.

Aside from that:

One of the best dealership experiences I've ever had.
In and out - low hassle.

Overall experience is as good as it gets when buying a used car.

My Review Of Royal Chevrolet:

First when i entered the place, no one acknowledge me. I stayed at the entrance for about 5 minutes and no one came to my service. Mind you i had an appointment. When i finally flagged someone down for assistance, it seem like they showed no interest in selling the car to me. They didnt even try to work with a price with me. Just horrible and i will never go no recommend my friends here.

My Review Of Royal Chevrolet:

I came in to test drive the new 2012 Chevy Cruze Eco. I was met by Harry DiPietro who helped find a Cruze with a manual transmission for a test drive.

Harry was very knowledgeable, the test drive was comfortable with no pressure. Harry understood that we wanted to look at a couple of other cars before making a decision.

Harry's follow-up was polite and no-pressure. We ended up coming back and purchasing a similar Cruze ECO 6-speed later the same week and have been very happy with it thus-far.

I would definitely recommend Royal Chevrolet, and Harry as a salesman.

My Review Of Royal Chevrolet:

I would like to compliment Laura(Internet Consultant) and Melissa Morales(Sales Consultant). I used AAA Auto Sales and my first contact with Royal Chevrolet was with Laura, she was very knowledgeable and informed and straight foreword with the car I was interested in. If it wasn’t for Laura I would not have considered Royal, as it is some distance from where I live. When I visited Royal I met with Melissa. She was very knowledgeable and personable. She went over all aspects of the Malibu and prices etc. She offered a test ride and I really liked the Malibu. I drove a Silver Malibu and Melissa mentioned other colors. I was going to take the Silver Malibu and she said the Gold Mist Malibu was a nice looking car, I was hesitant but Melissa said “ just take a look”, so I did and I liked it very much. I ordered the Gold Mist Malibu, I like the two tone interior. All in all it was a very good experience with Royal Chevrolet and it’s consultants. Melissa called the following week to ask if every thing was OK with the car, which it was. I also took advantage of the 30 day inspection and every thing was good. The inspection was fast and courteous. I would recommend Royal Chevrolet.

I had a very positive experience working with Mike Cortese and Royal Chevrolet on the recent purchase of my 2012 Corvette. I visited several dealerships, including you-know-who down in Atlantic City, and chose Royal because they offered me the best deal, and Mike was absolutely straight-up with me about pricing, incentives, delivery times, and the complex process of specifying and confirming my vehicle "build". It's obvious that a small, family-owned dealership still understands that the customer comes first, and Mike and everyone at Royal is working hard to make sure that that happens for me.

My Review Of Royal Chevrolet:

I had heard positive remarks from friends about the folks who work at Royal Chevrolet. I decided to check them out. After test driving a few vehicles there, I settled on the Chevrolet Cruze with Mike Cortese's assistance. I have been very satisfied so far with every aspect of their service. Mike took the process of buying a car at my pace and was very honest, helpful and courteous. Besides getting my present vehicle serviced there, I look forward to other future dealings at Royal Chevrolet.

My Review Of Royal Chevrolet:

This was by far the worst car repair experience of my life! Not only was the staff rude and incompetent, they were sad excuses for mechanics. I had to bring my 1 year old car in MULTIPLE times for the same problem...and they still weren't able fix it! I finally gave up and had to pay a REAL mechanic to fix it (even tho the car was still under warranty). I would never use this company again and I recommend anyone who values their time and money, not to either.
