My Review of Sandberg Northwest Volvo:
I recently purchased a used 2003 Volvo XC70. I did some research on what it would cost to do a 60,000 mile service on www.edmunds.com. The total cost with parts and labor should come to around $250. I went into Sandberg Volvo to schedule an appointment to have the service done. The lady at the counter was too busy to acknolwedge me, even though there was nobody around. The computer was WAY more important to her than I was. When I finally got her attention, she wanted $625 plus tax to provide the service. I showed her the information I had from Edmunds.com and asked if there was something special they provided that wasn't listed. She said the service they provide was the same as on the list. She could not explain why they charge so much and she did not even try. She just wanted to get back to her computer work. I am upset with this dealer because if they want me to pay $625 to change the spark plugs and oil, I want the red carpet treatment, which they could not provide. I did some research and found that most non dealer service centers do provide the 60,000 mile service for the $250 it is worth.

My Review of Sandberg Northwest Volvo:
There isn't much I have to say for Sandberg Auto except that I was blatantly discriminated against on basis of my age. The whole experience, from the moment I entered the floor to the second I closed the door, was humiliating.

I was disallowed from test driving a vehicle without making a firm commitment to purchase that vehicle. The buildup to that ultimatum was the stipulation that I wasn't to test drive until I was verified through a credit check. I agreed to the credit check since I knew my credit was good and was willing to have them check if that was the price I was to pay to be viewed as a serious buyer. Unfortunately, this was not the case but was rather a tipping point to even more hassles and hoops to jump through.

Over the whole experience, I kept my composure, did not raise my voice, nor submit to any other outbursts. Unfortunately, due to the business, there isn't much I can do as the consumer...Except write this review.

So if you are in the marketplace for a vehicle and Sandberg Northwest Autos (Volvo, Cadillac, etc.) finds its way onto your list, please do not give them the opportunity to lose your business.
