My Review of Santilli Center for Automobiles:
car was in for service on engine temperature problem at cold weather, after driving the car at freeway speeds for over 15 minutes, the temperature gauge didn't move to the expected upper rail that one would expect, and the heater would only blow out warm air instead of hot.
I end up paying $239.50 for "diagnostics followed by a repair of a loose wire to the temperature gauge. I drove out of the service department with EXACT same problem that it had when it entered the for service. I contacted the service department, explained the issue and tried to reason with them but was turned away. The service manager told me that my car was 14 years old and it should be expected that there will be problems with it. He said that if I brought the car back to them, that they would not look at it. He was very rude to me and I was not treated with the respect due a customer.
I took the car to a small garage where the problem was quickly and correctly diagnosed as a bad thermostat. They charged me $96 parts/labor and the car has been working fine.
I'm convinced that there was no loose or broken wire to my temperature gauge. there was no repair made to my car and what a ripped off. I doubt whether there was any serious attempt made during the diagnostic procedure. I don't think they have driven the car to diagnose the problem. Base on my experience with the bad service, I wouldn't recommend anyone bring to car for service in there.
