Staff is very nice, only reason I gave it a "good" rating for overall experience is because I had to go back a second time. I would recommend this dealership.Dropped my car off on 2/25/13; car was acting sluggish,lack of acceleration below 30mph. I didn't have an appointment because the problem occurred on my way home from work. Randy told me to bring it in, set me up with a rental because he diagnosed it as a warrantied power train problem. Called me on 2/27/13 advising that it was a transmission component that's covered under warranty but also recommended replacing cooling hose at @$250 so I agreed. Called me today, 2/28/13 to let me know it was done so I went there after work, dropped off rental car and picked up my car. Drove less than 1/4 mile and realized that car was still sluggish, no acceleration and now my engine light was on. Called Randy and was told to bring it back in so they can take a look; as of now, they have the car again, I have the rental still and still don't know what the problem is other than possible debris in the "TCM". People there are very friendly, accommodating but my issue is that I drove it 1/4 mile and it was evident that was not resolved and now I have the added concern that the engine light is on as well.I would recommend based on the customer service but I would not based on experience of having my car back less than 15mins and not only was car not fixed but I have the added issue of the check engine light. Told Randy that before they call me to pick it up, I don't care if they drive it to downtown Detroit, just make sure it's fixed.Stay tuned for update. Was this review helpful to you? Everytime I need something he always goes above and beyond to accomidate my needs. I had a flat tire and called Don, he sent a wrecker to help me out. Unfortunately I have a foriegn car and the wrecker service didn't have to lock to remove the tire. I have also had my timing belt repaired at this dealership. I belive that customer service is lacking in todays world but not at Serra. I would HIGHLY reccomend to any car owner to come it to the dealership. I just today (I am sitting in the waiting room) had a service light come on. I called the service dept and they got me right in to look at my car. Don remembered me from when I bought the Sonic and asked for me to personally ask for him so he could personally insure that my car was taken care of. Turns out the code was just for oil change. To anyone reading this... please take my word that anything else other then great feedback about Serra is completely false! I will never go elsewhere for any of my car needs. All with a smile and great, prompt attention to detail. With the additional corrective maintenance, I prepared myself for sticker shock, BUT the price came in below the original quote! The new facility is spacious, beautiful, environmentally friendly, and even more customer friendly. My husband sends me here for ALL of our automotive needs. Thanks Serra Chevrolet! BUT the good news is that Greg Brown the General Manager/Dealer Operator of Serra Chevrolet has given me a loaner until my car is repaired and will work with me once the warranty company decides what they will or will not cover. This is what I'm talking about! This is customer service! My ordeal is not over, but at least it's going in the right direction, so I've updated the customer service rating from a 1 to a 3. I'll update the again when this over. 4/9/12 - Don't purchase a used car from this dealership...they do not stand behind the cars they are selling. I puchased a 2009 used vehicle as well as an after market warranty from them. Less than 3 days after the purchase the check engine light came on, took it to them and they said their was nothing they could do....really I just spend $13,000 and there's nothing they can do...unbelieveable. My car has been in the one shop or another for the past month...and guess what their wonderful warranty that they sold me most likely won't cover the repair. The sales manager cannot get me a loaner, because it's out of his hands.
