My Review of Shelton Mitsubishi:
Shelton Mistubishi offered a sale, stating that they would purchase your vehicle for $5,000 as a trade-in provided that you would purchase a 99+ vehicle from their lot.<br><br>The vehicles offered were bank repossessed vehicles with a bank loan/value assigned to them. <br><br>Shelton Mitsubishi fails to inform the potential buyer that when you're negotiating the sale price of the vehicle you wish to drive home, the $5,000 trade-in amount has already been deducted.<br><br>Take for example a 2003 Lancer ES... NADA has it listed for $10.5K... well, I negotiated the price down to $11.6K from their $13.6K... book value on a new Lancer ES is approximately $15K...<br><br>With this in mind, I assumed that we would be financing roughly 8,000 dollars once the trade-in was processed... WRONG! Turns out Shelton had their precious lancer listed for $18K and their 13.6K sale price was AFTER the $5,000 deduction...<br><br>... none of this was clear. When I stated that I no longer wished to purchase the vehicle due to serious miscommunication (I was being polite), the financial advisor and sales manager became annoyed and used profianity to express their discontent with my decision. They refused to return all signed paperwork (final sale signature had not been provided by yours truly) and they commented on my wasting their time.<br><br>One thing led to another, before you know it, I was being escorted out of the dealer by local authorities... all because I refused to sign their paperwork...<br><br>I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALER TO ANYONE!!! False advertising, unethical business practices leading to deceipt, and highly unprofessional behavior.
