I echo what the other rater said about their weird finance strategy. I had $6,000 to put down on a car and they were very reluctant to try financing so I just bought a used Volvo with cash. Once I got it home I discovered that there was water in the spare tire well, the car started stalling within a few weeks, the radiator had to be replaced and it has had other coolant issues. I spent about $1,500 to get the car running somehwat depandably and wrote to the owner expressing my disappointment. No response until I contacted the Better Business Bureau, after which the service manager wrote a long letter to them, on two separate occasions, basically saying I got shafted by the independent repair places and blaming me for the continued woes. I had high hopes for this place but wound up very disappointed.

My Review of Shepherd Motorcars:
Customer Service and prices are excellent. George Bodner was very helpful and answered all my questions especially when he was not the original sales person that helped me initially. I was working with an Internet sales person and I told George that, he still followed me around. The only bad thing about this dealership was that the free car wash was only on Saturday (9am - 2pm). The average wait for you car after the wash is 40 minutes. The parts are very reasonable, they will match any $$ from other dealerships.

My Review of Shepherd Motorcars:
My current 99 Volvo was in for service and it was going to need a lot of work. So I decided to look at trading it in. Sales guy was very rude, insinutated that my credit would probably not be good enough to get into new car. He was clearly not interested in selling me a new vehicle. He told me that if I wanted to purchase a new car, that in addition to my trade I would have to give at least $5,000 to make my payments manageable. The 3rd time he brought up my credit I walked. Pretty stupid on their part. My credit is perfect and I ended spending $35,000 on a new car.
