This is the 5th Toyota we have bought from Sloane; the second with Rob Fox. A pleasure to do business with you all again. We had factory ordered the 2016 Prius in December; and despite not seeing the car, let alone a sales brochure, we have been very pleased with it. Rob is very attentive to all details and followed up with our many questions. When it was delivered in March, he was very patient in explaining the many details of all the new technology packages that we had ordered. The car itself is a nice upgrade from our Prius (5 years and 115,000 miles without a single problem) and is consistently getting 60 MPG (for real).
"Dealer conned me into driving 1.5 hours for nothing"
I am disgusted by what I encountered last night at this dealer. I provided the internet sales rep (Christina) all of the details surrounding my trade in a prior email and only went there last night because of the possibility of getting the payment down to my number which was $430 per month as SHE AND I HAD DISCUSSED. When I arrived at the dealer, aside from the fact that they wouldn't move from the email quoted $459, THEY DID NOT KNOW ABOUT MY TRADE SITUATION. I would have to add on the balance of the lease payments to this number. Christina's email specifically implied that the payment amount included the trade. Then the manager (Steve) had the nerve to try and defend their position. I felt bad for the salesman Chris who was stuck in the middle. He apologized knowing they completely screwed me over but it wasnt his fault. I drove an HOUR AND A HALF from work to go there and had to drive another hour and ten minutes to get home. BEWARE OF THIS DEALER.
"Customer Service Failure"
I just want to say how disappointed I am with Sloane Toyota of Glenside. I notified you early in the morning that I was coming today to see this 2014 Toyota Highlander Limited Platinum and traveling from Easton PA to see this automobile and you instructed me to see Rich Anderson.
When I arrived, nobody was polite or professional in the show room. I asked if I was in the right place looking for Rich and was told, I'm not sure and that person walked away. Rich did come to the showroom and the first thing he said was, "Oh, I don't think they had a chance to clean it yet, but I can go get it for you to see."
Well this car was filthy, with stains all over, pieces of molding missing, and the tires were abnormally worn for 30K miles.
This car was advertised as a Certified Pre-Owned. This auto was not even evaluated for certification. In addition, I asked the salesman what is the difference between a Limited and a Platinum, and his answer was, I don't know much about these cars.
It took me a 4 hour round trip to see this auto. We never took the car out to drive as my wife was also very disappointed in the vehicle.
