I do remember you coming in 2 months later asking about trading it in because you felt it wasn’t pulling as well as you thought it should be. You definitely didn’t describe a small trailer during this conversation. At the time you were looking at a 2500HD and we ended up selling the vehicle before discussing numbers. A couple of weeks later you asked us if we could do a diagnostic and described what could have been a possible timing chain or cam phaser issue with the ford motor. We ran the vehicle for most of the day with no check engine or misfires noted. After your descriptions and checking with ford for some additional troubleshooting steps we were able to get it to duplicate the issue. During the diagnostic process your wife described a small trailer and said you had been quoted 10k for new motor..... Autozone with my discounts and thrown in by a reputable mechanic would be 4500 all in all done. I asked who was doing the motor it was stated a trusted family member. This trusted family member had recommended replacing the motor not to fix timing chains or cam phasers. As much as I wanted to help I was unable to do so. Nothing added up as you start this review your vehicle is 18k. The vehicle was considerably less, prior to purchase you had it inspected. During the buying process you were offered a warranty and declined. The large trailer became a small trailer. The engine replacement cost became 10k from a trusted family member. You bought the vehicle AS IS. I can certainly take it in as a trade and get you driving again. That’s something you have to decide. Feel free to reach out to me. Thanks

I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with the vehicle purchase. This was a Blue Star inspected vehicle with an A rating. Bluestar is a neutral third party highly reviewed in the inspection Industry. I do want to address the issues you have stated. You did purchase the Sequoia for 2K less. Toyotas bring over book as they are the most reliable and sought after vehicle in any market. With that concession you signed an AS IS agreement. We did agree to replace the switch on the sunroof as it was not functioning properly. I ordered said switch from Toyota we replaced switch and that did not resolve the issue. We also agreed to replace a bulb on the headlamp which we did. You did tell Russell that the window had come off track and no one is disputing this, you bought the vehicle AS IS at a reduced price and we made this clear that we wouldnt be able to help with anything. I did offer you my pricing at less than $150 to resolve the window regulator. Then the accusation was made that we had been into the window and simply put it back together so it would break. There is only one problem with this theory I wouldnt pay someone for 2 hours of labor to simply put it back together to possibly have the window fall out again. The regulator at my cost is $41. You then stated you would post a negative review if I didn't fix it after making a determination that Smart Buy was the culprit behind this shoddy repair. I then declined helping you with my pricing for the window in fact I was appalled that you would basically threaten a negative review and make the accusation. In theory lets say I would have fixed it with your extortion demand of posting a good review for me. What would happen 2 months from now if it sprung a oil leak, would you have tried to extort me then for another repair? This is why I took all my pricing off the table. This window repair has a 2 hour labor and parts markup at any mechanic in the valley for 280-350. It is a beautiful one owner Toyota Sequoia Ill take my bad review now and pass on future extortion attempts. I bear you no ill will and wish you the best on your used vehicle.
