My Review of Sonnen BMW:
I requested quotes for an '06 X3 by fax from 13 dealerships in Northern California. Darrel responded to my fax promptly and offered me the best price out off the bat of all of 7 dealerships who responded to my quote request. We did everything by phone and fax, and he answered all of my questions before the car arrived. I met him in person for the first time when I went to pick up my car at the dealership. I did my pricing homework and got my own financing well in advance, and Darrel made the rest of the transaction easy and pleasant. I'd definitely recommend working with him if you're in the market for a new BMW.

My Review of Sonnen BMW:
It takes an hour of waiting around to drop off your car for an oil service, they simply take WAY too long to get the cars processed. It is all part of the "service" but unless you love being stroked, forget it. Old oil out, new oil in - we do not need to have a conversation about it. I suggest dropping off at night to save the time. I did not purchase there as the cars on the floor are locked and they mark up over MSRP to an obscene level.

My Review of Sonnen BMW:
I was having my car serviced at Sonnen, partially because it was convenient, mostly because my Service Advisor was fabulous. Once he left there wasn't much reason to take the car there.

Talking to the service techs it's scary to realize that I know more about the problems with the car than they do.

Sonnen's shop foreman and service manager don't seem very interested in fixing your car. They would rather give excuses as to why the problem isn't in fact a problem.

There are several possibilities as to why they behave this way:
a) they're used to dealing with people who don't know anything about their cars
b) they're hoping you're one of those people
and/or
c) they're ignorant or deviously smart

Whatever the reason they come off looking stupid because the excuses they make don't make any sense.

In general, I've seldom had any major issues repaired and usually leave with a few more problems.

My Review of Sonnen BMW:
Damaged my car on multiple occasions, always left the interior dirty with marks and grease, multiple visits for same repair. The service advisors were fine but the actual condition of the car and work done on it was not acceptable on many repairs. Be warned and careful of any dealership like Sonnen that does not do a walk around inspection sheet when you drop your car off and refuses to do it when you ask (you can use the ones in the manual).
