My Review of SouthPoint:
We got disability insurance on our truck when we bought it because I had Lung Cancer and we wanted to make sure we didn't lose the truck if my wife came down ill. Three years later my wife lost 60% use of her right hand and 30% use of her left hand. We fought with the insurance company (service life & casualty) for over a year we had the origional copy of the contract but they had one that didn't have the insurance on it. We did remember going back a couple of days later and signing a new contract because they said it had some mathmatical errors on it and wanted to correct them. We like dummies believed them and signed anyway. Didn't notice the change until we filed for the insurance. Anyway, the insurance paid 9000.00 on the truck, paid off right? No, GMAC told us it only paid penalty and interest and that we still owed 7000.00 on the truck, I believe the truck was only 12,000 to begin with. The insurance company made my wife go see one of their doctors and they of course said my wife wasn't disabled and they weren't going to pay anymore on the truck. I think they should have paid the late penalties too because we were scammed out of the insurance from the beginning. The dealers knew that I had cancer when we went to them and they still put the shaft to me. My wife and I have spent days wondering when were going to have to start walking to our appointments they'll be coming to get it soon. I am tired of fighting them to try and keep the truck I have to deal with cancer and it isn't worth losing my life for a truck. They can come and get it.
