My Review of Sovereign Volkswagen Ltd:
I recommend that if you have problems with your VW you should take it to Uncle Louie and not Sovereign. He might do a better job. I've been disappointed with my Passat and the service, which I always seem to be visiting on a regular basis because this clamp or that pin was not set back in place properly (by an employee) which results in a revisit. The engine light goes on alot and the computer displays go out. Buy a VW if you live near a VW service station or another service station, otherwise pass it up. Oh, and after they removed a door panel I now have a major water leak in the back seat.

My Review of Sovereign Volkswagen Ltd:
Sales rep was unenthusiastic about selling me a car, and I got the impression that he would prefer trying to sell someone else who was less well informed, and he could make a better commission. I don't see this as a good reason for his attitude. Needless to say, I left, which is probably what he was hoping. I had no particular brand or dealer loyalty, and it appears this is what they look for. I don't see VW selling many Phaetons, which will probably end up being a huge money loser for the company.

My Review of Sovereign Volkswagen Ltd:
I moved away from the dealership in which I bought my car and brought it to this dealership. I had a major leak in my 2002 Passat and had to bring my car in 4 times to have it repaired! It was only FINALLY repaired when I brought the car to Donaldson's in Sayville the fourth time. I filed a complaint with the BBB and Consumer affairs since I got nowhere with the service manager Michael Disanti. I had to argue to have my interior carpet replaced because of the constant mildew smell. All the dealership kept doing was shampooing it, and putting more moisture into the carpet. NEVER, I REPEAT, NEVER bring your car for service to this dealership. They are uncooperative and deny any faulty workmanship.

My Review of Sovereign Volkswagen Ltd:
bad experience with this dealership * VW owners: please BEWARE.

my 2002 beetle which has just over 50,000 miles, needed a simple "scheduled maintenance." i brought it to sovereign VW fully trusting them with my volkswagen (!) car. deep regret - when i went to pick up my car, from the very moment i pulled out of their lot, an onset of problems began. my A/C was suddenly NON-functioning, the passenger door handle was now broken, there was a new & strange vibration in the right dash area which i'd never heard before, and to make matters worse: after driving just 20 miles or so along the expressway, my engine began overheating!

after getting absolutely NO assistance whatsoever in my phone call to sovereign VW's service dept., my car was towed to a non-VW shop where i learned that the clip to the car's main plug had been broken. of course, sovereign takes NO responsibility for the "coincidence" in the number of problems which started the same day they had literally just SERVICED AND INSPECTED the car thoroughly. * cost in damages for one faulty "scheduled maintenance" service at sovereign VW: $420.
