My Review of Springfield Toyota Scion:
Jeff Stead is service manager at Springfield Toyota. We have 2 Camrys and have been getting them serviced at Springfield Toyota for the last 2 yrs. Jeff Stead is an exceptional professional dedicated to excellence in customer service and customer satisfaction. He runs a first rate, top notch service dept., and treats you like an old, valued friend. His service team does the same. Andy Cizak is a really superb, exceptional service tech equally dedicated to excellence; and he really knows his stuff. They are consistently thorough, courteous, and professional.

My Review of Springfield Toyota Scion:
I saw one of their used vehicle ads and called to make arrangements since I was 4 hours away. I was promised I would get a call from them by the evening before I was to leave. I called that morning just to make sure they don't forget about me. I didn't receive a call. I called them 15 minutes before they closed and they told me it was just sold.
No courtesy and were rude....

My Review of Springfield Toyota Scion:
I recently received a followup notice to a recall for my Toyota Matrix. The work was completed in July 2008 and I was confused because, this being my second Toyota in 10 years time, I had never received a followup notice once work had been completed. I contacted the Customer Care 800 number to confirm they had received the completed recall card (submitted to the service advisor on 9 July 2008). Toyoata had not but did see that my car had been in for work on the July date in question. My issue was referred to Springfield Toyota's Quality Manager for follow-up. I received a call a few days later stating that there had been a "clerical" error and I would be receiving a check for $100.00; I assumed this was for my time and trouble. I received the check two days later and looked at the memo area which stated "overpayment on recall" - the service department charged me for the recall! I reviewed my paperwork and sure enough - I was charged $99.88 for the labor that was associated with the recall work. This only capped an overall dissatisfactory service experience. I also had an oil change that day and was told my air filter needed to be changed - incredibly the 20 people that were in the waiting area that day were ALL told they needed new air filters. When I asked to see the air filter, I was told the techinican had already reinstalled it. Why would it be reinstalled if it needed to be replaced. They did not want to show it to me. This is the third dealership that has serviced my car (my husband is military so we have moved since the purchase) and I have always been shown the filter. I had an appointment for the recall work and oil change and I still waited over 4 hours!!!

I will never take my car back to Springfield Toyota though they are a few miles from my home. We are planning on a new car purchase over the next year and are considering another Toyota - we have no reservations about Toyota just this dealership. Service is a paramount part of the buying decision from any dealership - and the service I received as a first time customer was deplorable and not to the standards I have come to expect from Toyota.

My Review of Springfield Toyota Scion:
I received a no hassle and no haggle quote through the internet from the Internet Manager Shane Hamilton that was equivalent to several other quotes that I received. I decided to go to Springfield Toyota because Shane was so prompt in all his emails and seemed extremely friendly on the phone. Upon arriving, the 2009 Camry that I purchased was already washed and sitting in front of the showroom. Shane quickly took my 99 Corolla that I was trading to his used car department and returned with a figure higher then the Kelley Blue Book figure that I researched. We then completed a few other pieces of paperwork and I was in and out of the business office within 45 minutes. Prior to leaving I was greeted by the Sales Manager Michael Nguyen who coincidently has the same name as my husband. He thanked me for my business and extended a free maintenance package in addition to the great deal that I received. I'm not sure about the experiences of the other reviewers but I felt that I was given the royal treatment and will refer anyone and everyone to Springfield Toyota.

My Review of Springfield Toyota Scion:
I bought TWO cars in one visit, go figure. They did not have the capability to verify the pay-off on my trade-in, then billed me for $412 1 week afterwards--having never notified me I'd be liable for any small difference. After another visit, I was assured I wouldn't have to pay. Days later, Mike Nguyen called me with much venom, insisting their promise did NOT stand and I needed to pay. So after charging me near-sticker for TWO cars, giving me $2000 UNDER the KBB fair condition value for my trade-in (even with my 120% guarantee coupon), charging me $412 on top of it all.....they NEVER paid off my trade-in!! As of today, my trade-in is 2 months payments overdue and the account is still not cleared. And I have to make two payments on two Toyotas I wish I'd never bought. Please do NOT visit Springfield Toyota. They'll VERY happily take your money with a smile, but if there's any issue with the transaction they will take MORE money, hold your account and your credit hostage, and will NOT be smiling when they do so. Just one victim's experience. I pray yours isn't as bad.

My Review of Springfield Toyota Scion:
Internet Sales Experience only...they provided a the lowest price quote, quick turn around. I was prepared for bait and switch...didn't happen. Rather James was spot on in delivering the price he quoted. Of course he went thru the obligatory add on options for sealants etc, but it was quick and as painless as it gets for that stuff. No bait and switch.

Interestingly, he was very thorough in going over the new car tech bits, VERY good, plain english, but polished.

Then after the initial paperwork, the review of the manuals, and the payment exercise....he spent about 15 minutes going over the hands on stuff in the car - the audio/bluetooth/controls etc. Particularly useful on the Camry with the new pushbutton start and steering wheel controls for the audio etc.

Absolutely the best buying experience I've ever had. AND at the lowest price of 7 dealers -with no hassle.

My Review of Springfield Toyota Scion:
I had a wonderful experience with this dealership, which I chose at random based on its dealerrater ratings. I live out of state and dealt with the dealership entirely by phone and email until I arrived to pick up the car. The price quoted by Shane Hamilton by email was lower than anyone else's price. They were very proactive in working with me and ensuring that things went smoothly. Ultimately, there were difficulties working with my state's insurance and registration regulations that created a lot of extra work for the dealer, but they handled it and got everything done in time. Both Shane Hamilton and Mike Nguyen, sales manager, were exceptional in their customer service, and went above and beyond what any other dealer I know has done. Given the set-up of my location, I would not have been able to accomplish this purchase without all their hard work. I left there feeling like I'd made new friends, which is not typically what I anticipate from a car dealer.

I bought a RAV4 from this dealership. I dealt with Ted, who is a great salesperson to deal with. The whole experience was really simple and comfortable. They also present competitive prices, I would reccomend them for a purchase.

My Review of Springfield Toyota Scion:
We have used the dealership over the last 15 years. They have consistenly failed to diagnose problems (once we got $ back from Toyota factory because of large misdiagnosis). They do not want to do warranty work and have tried on 3 different occasions to make us pay for work that should be covered under warranty ( ie, antenna that broke at the base, and a cup holder that wouldn't close properly). Back in 1992 they even caused damage to the body of my car, and didn't tell me. Subsequently they did get the body work done. Today we had a tech that didn't know the difference between a state Safety Inspection and Emissions inspection, and started to preform the wrong test. Each time we go back we want to kick ourselves, because we thought that a couple years might have corrected the on going issues. But trust us, the honesty and level of service there is horrible. It is worth the drive to go to Lustine Toyota in Woodbridge where they DO care about their customers.
