My Review of St. George Motorcars:
Dishonest. Cheats everyone. High pressure. Had me sign papers then tore them up saying there was a mistake and had me sign blank contracts. They put the papers in an envelope and ushered me out the door after 4 hours of 4 salesman & Tony pressuring me. Before I did the deal, Tony gave me his word on Sat. I could come back on Monday if I wasn't satisfied -I was back there Mon a.m. when they opened , I realized as soon as I got home I got a bad deal. Told them I wanted my car back. They refused to do anything. That I was stuck with the car. Going in I said I did not want to owe anymore on another car than what I owed on the car I was trading. Not only did I leave owing more, but the car they sold me was a year older and had twice the miles that mine had. Left 4hrs later with a contract for over $30,000 (more than what I owed on my car that was a year newer) + an additional 5,000 down to pay off my equity in the car I traded. I had nothing but trouble getting done the things they promised to do. Said I could get it fixed there. on site. No way. Has to go to SL or Vegas for almost all repairs. Sales mgr yelled at me in front of everyone in the showroom because I asked for my key fob they were ordering and I had been waiting for , for two months; he was angry because I turned them into DMV. Tony, owner, brushed it off saying he had had a bad day. no appology. When contacted by DMV Tony offered me another car BUT he also wanted another $5,000 down. I later happened on the person who brought the Volvo into St. George. He paid 15,000 for the car, my contract was for over $30,000. Funny how Tony insisted he would be only making around $2,000. Not according to my math. Quite a profit. Just about everyone you run into that had dealings with St. George Motor Cars has a horror story to tell. I cannot understand why DMV does not do something about them, I have heard that there are over 70 claims to DMV made against them. I have tried repeatedly to trade my car because I have had way too many problems with it - I can do nothing because they burried me so deep financially on this car, making my disequity situation almost 3 times as much as it was on my other car. Their nice attitude changed as soon as they sold me the car - now they just want to be rid of me. Every dealership I go to to see about trading my car in and getting a different more reliable car , asks why the disequity is so high, when I tell them why such a high disequity on the car, almost every time they can tell me the name of the dealership before I tell them. They have had numerous patrons come in with similar stories.
