My Review of Star Ford at Oxmoor:
Well I will say that it start out good, but when my license plate went missing and they told me "that it must of been thrown away." I called the police. I guess they didn't think I would because when the police officer showed up they had a look of surprise on their face. I will also include that the police officer thought it was a funny story they told, someone threw the plates away yea right! Now 3 months later I am still waiting for my reimbursement for those "thrown away," plates. Who throws away brand new plates especially when there were old nasty plates sitting in plan site, I guess they failed lying 101 when they went through their job training. Do not go to this dealer get a Toyota.

My Review of Star Ford at Oxmoor:
This dealership is legendary in this area. Of all the dealers I have ever dealt with, they are by far the worst. It is almost fun to go to the service department just to ask them to perform something simple (such as an oil change or switch out a window motor) and get a call "Oh, it looks bad, you're going to need a new transmission and engine" I once took my Explorer in for a window motor replacement. They quoted me $500 (350 for the motor and 150 for labor) Of course, this is ludicrous. I took it to Pepboys and got the exact same motor and installation for $140. I do most of my own maintenance and only take the car in for things that I don't have special tools for. One such case was a rear pinion seal. I took it in and said, "Only replace this pinion seal and don't touch anything else" Just like clockwork, they called and said "It looks bad, your transmission is leaking and you need a new transmission" Of course, the transmission was fine, that was 65,000 miles ago. Wants some more examples... I had a transmission shifting problem I couldn't figure out so I took it in for diagnostics. "Oh, it looks bad you need a new transmission" So I took the car to another transmission shop that I trusted. It turns out it was a thermostat gone bad which caused the car to go into "limp" mode. $20 later and all worked fine... Want another?? I had some valve clattering when the vehicle was relatively new, I took it in and the service dept. said "This isn't covered under warranty but we know what it is and will fix it for $500." I called Ford Motor Company to complain about problems with my new Exploder and they said "Of course it is covered, tell the service manger to use this campaign number" Anyway, when I mentioned the campaign number and that Ford wanted the service mangers name, he turned white, like he had been caught. He started apologizing and offered all kinds of free service stuff... And, that is just the service department... As for the sales department, with all of the stories I've heard from my associates, I wouldn't even consider buying a car there. You mileage may vary.

My Review of Star Ford at Oxmoor:
I contacted them after I purchased my vehicle to let them know my temporary plates would be expiring 4 days in advance. I received no return phone call. I went into the dealership the day the tags expired and was lied to- being told that they were ordered and hadn't arrived. I was also told this is not a finable offense (which it is!). I was promised a call the next day before noon. I never received the call so at 4:00PM I called and waited to speak to someone that claimed to be a sales manager when the time before he was a finance manager, and the time before that he was a salesman. He informed me that the title had never been transferred from the previous owner- which was from Colorado. I was then told it would be my responsibility to take off work to have a sheriff inspect it. I let them know that this was UNACCEPTABLE. The title should have been transferred to them before they allowed my temporary tags to expire- (this means the car was traded in, sat on the lot a month until I bought it, then they waited another month and a day for my tags to expire to realize they needed it inspected). I took the car to the sheriff, and then found out they ordered a regular tag when I had specifically asked for a different one and was assured I would have it.<br>How do these people stay in business always lying?

My Review of Star Ford at Oxmoor:
I called on Thursday and requested a service appointment on Saturday to fix a recalled item on my Taurus. I was given a 10:00 am appointment. When I arrived at the service department, not only did they NOT have my appointment in the system, I was told they don't take appointments on Saturdays. In addition, even if they did have my down, they had run out of the parts necessary to complete the recall service. I gave up a great Saturday morning opportunity to spend my time tending to my car and ended up having to reschedule. You can be sure I'll find another dealer to make the repairs.
