My Review of Stevens Creek Mitsubishi:
Stevens Creek Mitsubishi is a very dishonest dealer.
They charge customer with longer labor hours by misleading customer with incorrect information.
I sent my 2001 Eclipse for engine light checking. They found out the code is P0135 and suggested replacing oxygen sensor(bank 1 sensor 1).
But when I asked how many labor hours they needed. They told me it's a major work, because they need to remove catalytic converter to reach the sensor. They charged me 4 labor hours for that. At that time, I had no idea where the sensor is and believed what they said. So I let them replace it.
After doing a research on google, I was shocked:
The replaced sensor is in the front chamber. You can easily reach it by just opening the hood.
Then they said the way they replace the sensor is safer and they avoid damaging the catalytic converter (They still thought I have no idea about the location of this sensor).
When I pointed out the actual position, they said that there is no difference, because anyway they spent 4 hours to replace it.
Our research on google also shows that this sensor replacement usually takes less than 2 hours.
So, their strategy is quite clear:
First, they use incorrect information to mislead customer that the work needs longer labor hours. Then they did the job in inefficient way. If you find out their trick, they argue that it really takes that many labor hours (They will show you their work record)
BE CAREFUL WITH Stevens Creek Mitsubishi. If there is any other choice, don't go there. If you have to go there, let them write down all the work they gonna do and do a research first.
