My Review of Sud's of Peoria:
We bought our 2003 VW Golf this summer from SUDs Peoria. One of the reasons we bought the vehicle was because CarFax had shown that SUDs had changed the timing belt. Flash forward to this November. The car broke down about 200 miles from home. I found out the next day that 3 of the bolts that hold the timing belt in had worked loose. One sheared off in the bracket, one was barely holding on, and one was completely gone. I was stranded in the boonies and out hundreds in repairs because somebody in their service department couldn't tighten some bolts. grrrrr...... I won't be buying here when get my next VW.

My Review of Sud's of Peoria:
I have taken my 2005 Audi A6 to both the Bloomington and Peoria locations for service. My car was still under warranty and had the Audi care package so I never had to pay for anything at the Peoria location. The Peoria location has addressed my needs in a timley fashion. The Bloomington Loaction however has been a pain. They have had to order parts and I have had to make several phone calls to see if the parts arrived, they could'nt find them for several days. The Peoria location has been good to me but the Bloomington loaction need to work on their customer service.

My Review of Sud's of Peoria:
I've dealt with Suds at both the Peoria store for my Porsche and the Normal store for my Audi. I took the Audi in to address a noise from the front left side that sounded to me like the cv joint might be going bad. The mechanic claimed he heard no sound and, that he found no mechanical problems up front. What he did claim was that the car was unsafe to drive because the rear brake rotors were completely shot and had to be replaced immediately. He wasn't going to let me take the car for this reason. I felt I was being held hostage. In the end, I was able to take the car to another mechanic who confirmed my suspicion that the rear rotors were fine and that there was a problem with the left cv joint. When I took my Boxster in for an oil change at the Peoria store, they pressured me to have the brake lines bled, an unnecessary job that added a couple hundred bucks to the bill. Later, I ordered a front license plate bracket for the car from them--simple right?--it took weeks to arrive at my house and only showed up after several calls to the parts department. When it finally arrived, the delivery date to Suds that was printed on the box showed that it had been sitting around the shop for over three weeks, yet somehow they just couldn't manage to get it in the mail to me--even after the calls. Adding insult to injury, there was no mounting hardware with the bracket. I called and was assured I'd have it in a couple days. Four weeks and three calls later, it still hadn't arrived. I gave up on them, called a dealer in Chicago and, guess what, I got it the next day at no charge. Suds has lost my business. From now on I'm taking the long drive to Chicago to have a dealer who puts the customer ahead of lining their pockets take care of my cars.

My Review of Sud's of Peoria:
My daughter recently purchased a 2001 Bug. As we were driving home, the check engine light came on even though the salesman had assured us this was a reliable "ready to go" vehicle. He also stated the car had gone through a 17 point check to make sure everything was in proper working condition. When I called to see what could be done, the sales manager (Jeremy) was rude, obnoxious and condescending. According to the sales agreement, Sud's is not bound by any claim or statement made by their salesmen. Make sure to have a non-biased mechanic check any car before purchasing from this dealership.
