My Review Of Suntrup Ford Westport:
Poor service, poor financing and deceitfulness is all I can say about this dealership. The car I got on Friday was great wasn't exactly cleaned out very well but ok. I took in on Friday and had to come back to prove income on Monday. I did include my promotion on the credit app thinking that I would be fine however I wasn't they wanted to know what I made now and that wasn't good enough for their financing dept. Long story short I had to return my car that day and take back my trade in...but right after I went to Dave Sinclair and got just what I wanted without hesitation and from the same credit union that Suntrup said I couldn't get one from!!!! DO NOT GO HERE PLEASE I AM WARNING YOU!!! GO TO DAVE SINCLAIR!!!!!! GOOD LUCK!!

Hi Matt,
My name Elizabeth Durdel and I am the E-Commerce Director for Suntrup Ford Westport. I am genuinely sorry to hear about your experience on Monday and that you had to return the Fusion to us.
However, you claimed a false income on your credit application. And, we are required by law to verify a buyer’s present income at the time of a vehicle purchase—not the buyer’s future or expected income, but the buyer’s income on that day of securing a car loan.
And, unfortunately, you were unable to verify the amount you stated as your current monthly income.
Now, the income you were able to confirm was financed into a new deal that was not to your satisfaction because the monthly payment was higher—that’s understandable.
Nontheless, Michael Jackson, our Business Manager worked incredibly hard to make your situation work out to your liking—even after your proof of income had significantly changed from what you had originally and legally stated on your credit application.
Given the situation and the truth of it, most would agree deceitful isn’t the appropriate word to describe how our dealership handled the plate you presented us. Once all of your provable factors were on the table we did the best we could to help you keep the Fusion but it didn’t work out—please keep in mind we are in the business of selling cars, thus it didn’t work out for either of us.
Congratulations on your new car and thank you for buying Ford.
