My Review of Superior Chrysler-Jeep:
We are very unhappy with our overall experience regarding an In-Warranty service on our car. At 97,000 we elected to have a new transmission installed rather than purchase a new car at that time. The transmission was purchased at your dealership and the warranty was sent in as directed. When we began experiencing problems recently, we brought the car to your dealership to examine. We were told it would take a day or so to determine if it was still in warranty. Why? Because we had a copy of the warranty paperwork showing it was good for 3 years or 36,ooo miles. We were told by Eddie Ruiz that there would be a $105.00 diagnostic fee IF it was not in warranty. We left the car in your service department and received a message on my husbands cell phone saying it would be repaired under the warranty. Later that day, Eddie called again and said that the car would be repaired, but we would be charged to upgrade the computer. What a coincidence that the amount to upgrade the computer was the same amount that we were quoted for the diagnostic fee. If the transmission was in warranty, whatever needed to be done to make it operate properly should have been covered by the warranty. This type of customer service makes it impossible to ever feel comfortable coming to your dealership again for any reason.

My Review of Superior Chrysler-Jeep:
This is the most dishonest dealership I've ever visited. They advertised a car for 12,998 in the LA Times. I called to confirm the vehicle was there. Sales guy tells me it was. I went there checked out the vehicle. Liked it. Didn't bother to haggle over price. Said I would take the car, will put $6,000 down and finiance the remaining amount. All was oked by the Sales Manager. Now here is where their con comes in.

I waited for about 45 minutes until the finance guy was done with the paperwork. So he had me sign a few docs before I could see the break down of my loan amount and payments. I signed the docs. Then we went over the payments. He said my payments will be $376 for a 48 month term.

This didn't sound right to me. With my $6,000 down payment my loan amount should be around $8,500 with tax and doc fees. I was thinking my payments should be around $280-$300. I asked him why it's so much can he recalculate it. Then I noticed on he added some $600 fee for accessories and $2500 fee for extended warranty. I told him I didn't want the extended warranty. Please remove it and let me know what my payments will be. He messed around on the computer and I could see on his computer my new payments would be $316 and month. He looked at it and did some weird stuff, and the payments went back to $376. He told me it only cost $9 additional dollars to get the warranty. This obviously didnt' make sense. Because $9 x 48 months is only $432, not $2500. At this point I was absolutely sure they're trying to pull a fast one on me. After pointing everything out to him and arguing with him for another 30 minutes, the manager in charge came in and try to push the payment on me, saying I agreed to the payment.

At this point I had it. I told them they were just really dishonest, and that I agreed to buy the vehicle for $12,998 and not the amouht they were trying to fool me into buying it for. I did the math myself and the loan amount at 22.5% interest with payments of $376 would have be close to $12,000. They're trying to sell the vehicle to me for $18,000 ($12,000 + $6,000 down) plus the interest which is about $6,000+. So I would have paid $24,000 for the vehicle.

I told my cousin about this story and he told he had the same experience with Power Chryler-Jeep in the City of Industry on Gale street.

I think this company is really dishonest. They even have a plaque in their showroom saying they're the most honest dealer you'll ever work with. What a load of crock.

I wonder how many other people they've conned?

My Review of Superior Chrysler-Jeep:
[see more BAD reviews on Superior at my3cents website]

Sunday Aug 27, 2006

2 days ago, I found a Mitsubitshi Galant published by Superior Chrysler, La Puente on Automart.com and gave Superior a call.

We had a series of phone calls going back and forth for the WHOLE ENTIRE DAY to confirm on the car specs and credit issues. At 8:45pm the same day, we were still communicating on the phone and arranged for a visit the next day at 9:30am to see the car. I was all ready to negotiate and drive out the car. I went thru all the hassle of picking up my cousin and drove all the way there from Ontario. When I arrived there, a sales guy was told by his floor manager JOEY (who handled my case all this while - hence he is the person directly linked to the deception!) to look after us and show us some cars. I was already slightly irritated cos I only wanted to see the Galant.

We walked the whole yard and couldn't find any Galant. Then the sales guy said "I'm sorry but its already sold". I wasn't too polite... and they must be surprised coming out of a young lady like me! I made it clear that I'm real pissed, that they had wasted my time and they'll never get a single cent out of me ever... so I just walked out! It is highly unlikely that they could have sold the car in between 9pm Friday night and 9am Sat morning... even if they did, they should have the courtesy to inform me by phone. It is CLEARLY an underhanded technique to get me into their door, and it is an insult to my goodwill.

They may not think much of their current sales techniques, but Joey if you are reading this... you better change 180'! If you ever wonder why your dealership is not successful... its because ppl HATE dishonesty and you are digging your own grave! To the young sales guy there... better think of your career path - you need a good leader not a devious one! To the webmasters of Automart.com... you guys better find a way to rate the dealers who are publishing stuff on your web. You can bet it that I'll never use your website to shop for cars again! And folks, as a sales person myself, I feel really embarrased that there are so many sales ppl out there giving our sales industry a bad name. Shame on you, Superior Chrysler!

As for consumers out there, I would personally never recommend you to visit or call Superior Chrysler Jeep... its a waste of time, petrol & phone bill.
