Reason for Visit: Sales

My Review of Superior Chrysler-Jeep:
This is the most dishonest dealership I've ever visited. They advertised a car for 12,998 in the LA Times. I called to confirm the vehicle was there. Sales guy tells me it was. I went there checked out the vehicle. Liked it. Didn't bother to haggle over price. Said I would take the car, will put $6,000 down and finiance the remaining amount. All was oked by the Sales Manager. Now here is where their con comes in.
I waited for about 45 minutes until the finance guy was done with the paperwork. So he had me sign a few docs before I could see the break down of my loan amount and payments. I signed the docs. Then we went over the payments. He said my payments will be $376 for a 48 month term.
This didn't sound right to me. With my $6,000 down payment my loan amount should be around $8,500 with tax and doc fees. I was thinking my payments should be around $280-$300. I asked him why it's so much can he recalculate it. Then I noticed on he added some $600 fee for accessories and $2500 fee for extended warranty. I told him I didn't want the extended warranty. Please remove it and let me know what my payments will be. He messed around on the computer and I could see on his computer my new payments would be $316 and month. He looked at it and did some weird stuff, and the payments went back to $376. He told me it only cost $9 additional dollars to get the warranty. This obviously didnt' make sense. Because $9 x 48 months is only $432, not $2500. At this point I was absolutely sure they're trying to pull a fast one on me. After pointing everything out to him and arguing with him for another 30 minutes, the manager in charge came in and try to push the payment on me, saying I agreed to the payment.
At this point I had it. I told them they were just really dishonest, and that I agreed to buy the vehicle for $12,998 and not the amouht they were trying to fool me into buying it for. I did the math myself and the loan amount at 22.5% interest with payments of $376 would have be close to $12,000. They're trying to sell the vehicle to me for $18,000 ($12,000 + $6,000 down) plus the interest which is about $6,000+. So I would have paid $24,000 for the vehicle.
I told my cousin about this story and he told he had the same experience with Power Chryler-Jeep in the City of Industry on Gale street.
I think this company is really dishonest. They even have a plaque in their showroom saying they're the most honest dealer you'll ever work with. What a load of crock.
I wonder how many other people they've conned?
