My Review of Tansky Sawmill Toyota:
Toyotas are great. Tansky sucks! But just to be fair, they did have the best price for my car. That's why they have "good" for price.

I requested a quote through Toyota.com, and they were the last to send me the quote. That's after Toyota asked me if I received the requested quote and I answered that I didn't.

Buying a brand new Toyota could have been from anywhere. I asked quotes from everyone and asked everyone to compete. Tansky won. Bought it from them.

The first time I walked into Tansky to look at a car but wasn't ready to buy, the salesman treated me like horribly. On the day of the purchase, the sales rep was alright. It was a different rep.

The paper work is misleading. I guess they are used to people not reading anything and just signing with the excitement of the car purchase. They basically asked you to give up your right to privacy. They state that they would sell my information unless I request another form, fill it and request them not to sell my info. BE VERY CAREFUL ON THIS POINT.

And of course, they unnecessarily runs my credit. I specifically told them that I wanted to apply for Toyota Financing, but they had to run their own credit check without telling me. Not that I mind, but I just HATE the fact that they would just lie to me and think that they would get away with it. If they had told me truthfully, it would have been okay.

The paperwork guy was something else too. Imagine a guy who's full of himself and is trying to sell you something with very little interest in you or your purchase. But at the end of the transaction, they did mention over and over again that they would like to have the best review on the Toyota Survey. And they sent me a letter for that too.

They know next to nothing about accessories for your car. So, don't even bother. They will recommend you to another horrid place, Columbus Car Audio and Accessories, to get accessories.

To sum it up. I love my Toyota. Tansky had the best price this time around. If the price was the same, I'd buy from some place else. There were a few nice reps from Buyers and Germain.

Fast forward a few months:
I had my first oil change at Tansky yesterday. I was in line just like everyone else. (I am Asian, btw.) A non-ethnic lady came in after me. The service desk person chooses to help the non-ethnic lady. At that point, one of his colleagues point out the fact that I was in line and I was there first. The service desk person glanced at me, ignored me and continued to help the non-ethnic lady. Obviously, I was not happy about the situation. I calmly walked to the reception area to ask for someone to speak to. There was apparently no other managers other than the sales manager. Understandably, he didn't care much. It wasn't his department. So, I talked to the reception lady again. She said someone would call me.

This morning, I received a call from Kyle the service manager, who was very nice. He understood the situation and said that he would talk to his service team and that his GM would be calling me. I was very please with how Kyle handled it.

About half an hour later, I received a call from Bob the GM. I was expecting a generic apology and yada yada yada. But that was not the case. Instead of that, he did a few things:
1. he accused me of racism for identifying the other lady as a different race
2. defended his racist employee
3. started questioning my color (how rude)
4. pointed out the fact I didn't give them a 100% on the Toyota review because they ran unauthorized credit checks when I was about to buy my car

At that point, I told Bob that we should stop this call and never call me again, politely. And he said that he doesn't want me at his dealership anymore. O Bob, why would I come back? How silly of you!

My Review of Tansky Sawmill Toyota:
I ordered a 2010 Prius from Tansky in May after looking over and pricing it at the Toyota web site. The Tansky Internet salesman, Ron Ball took my deposit of $500 and estimated delivery in 4 to 8 weeks. When asked the price, he wrote the MSRP throwing in free floor mats, I was given no contract but the Toyota web site gave me a printout of an itemized list ending with the MSRP. When I had heard nothing by the end of July, I called and there was no news of expected delivery and no specific information of progress with the order. They tried to get me to take my deposit back or except another car. I wanted the car I ordered. I said I would wait. After five months from the order date, Ron Ball called and said my Prius was in. I went that day to finalize the deal. I went over the figures with Ron Ball and they did not match the printout I had gotten from Toyota. The main difference was the price for the options had gone up from $3600 to $3830. I argued that I ought to have the price that Toyota sent me when I ordered the car five months earlier. They agreed to that. However I was surprised to learn that they wanted to charge me $250 for a docking fee above what was indicated from Toyota. The printout I had from Toyota listed "Delivery, Processing, & Handling Fee = $750" I complained that not disclosing this additional $250 was an unfair practice. I felt I had been patient and dealt with them fairly and I had been given no indication of what I considered a surprise charge in light of $750 figure that Toyota listed. Jon Ball, the sales manager stepped in an argued with me that all the dealerships do this. I didn't doubt that, but he couldn't understand that I would have liked to have had some knowledge of this ahead of time. I wanted to agree to disagree, pay their price and leave with the car I had ordered and waited five months for. I thought Ron and I were closing the deal when he took my drivers license, had me sign papers, and verify my insurance. It was then that Bob McGlone, the general sales manager came over and wanted to resume the disagreement over the $250. After he heard my viewpoint he said I'm not going to sell you the car and you have nothing, (meaning a contract). I told them I wasn't refusing to pay their docking fee, but I didn't like the way it was sprung on me. I was flabbergasted that he refused to sell me the car based on my not agreeing with their policies. When I called to ask for my deposit back I told Mr. McGlone that I suspected they just wanted to sell the car to someone for more money, he said, " No, I just don't want to sell it to you." From my experience with both the manufacturer and the dealer, it seems there is no accountability and little congruity between the two and incredible arrogance on the part of Tansky sales personnel.

My Review of Tansky Sawmill Toyota:
This was NOT a very good experience, but in the end was a blessing in disguise. I went in with my daughter intent on purchasing a new 2008 Scion for cash-no financing. The saleswoman was OK, but the sales manager soured the deal. After I turned down the first offer (Full MSRP and 1/2 Kelley Blue Book trade-in value for my daughter's car) the sales manager came over to speak to us by himself. He spoke down to me, "patiently explaining" why this was such a good deal: their car was so wonderful-they couldn't possibly take less than the sticker, and my daughter's trade-in was little more than a piece of junk-they were doing us a favor by taking it off our hands.

We left and went to Roby Mitsubishi. (My daughter had really wanted an Eclipse, but we thought it was out of our price range.) To be brief, Roby's salesman and sales manager treated us with courtesy and respect. They gave us an unbelievable deal! We drove away with the car of her dreams (an Eclipse with a higher sticker price) for $2000 less than Tansky's final offer for the Scion.

We are so grateful to Tansky's. Had they made us a reasonable offer, we would have written the check for a car my daughter had secretly settled for instead of the car she really wanted.

My Review of Tansky Sawmill Toyota:
Negotiated a lease, put a deposit down on the car, waited three weeks for delivery, went in to pick up car, only to be told that the initial paperwork had been lost, and that the best they could offer was $130 a month MORE than the previously negotiated offer.

My Review of Tansky Sawmill Toyota:
BAD experience with service center at TANSKY TOYOTA DUBLIN OH

The used vehicle I bought from TANSKY TOYOTA gave me starting trouble just 24 days after the purchase from TANSKY TOYOTA Sawmill Road Dublin. I had to tow it to their TANSKY TOYOTA Service Center to get it fixed.

The quality of service can be good, at the cost of a lot of money. TANSKY TOYOTA SERVICE CENER at Dublin has a way of squeezing your money out. THIIS IS PRIMARILY DONE BY SOME SERVICE REPRASENTATIVES IN CALCULATIION OF HOURS OF LABOR. My vehicle was brought in for service before noon and I got a call from my service personal before 4 pm, informing that it is ready for pick up. My out pocket expenses was over $ 900.
They billed over $ 550 for labor alone. During our telephone conversation the representative happened to mention that it was done by AN experienced technician. Two hours labor claimed was just for cleaning some oil spill.
