PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING FEOM TOM O’BRIEN! 😡WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE😡 I purchased a new car on December 15th, 2023. At the time of purchase I was told that one of the systems/features of the vehicle would not be available to me for a few days, because the vehicle had originally been ordered specifically for someone else. And as a result they needed a few days to have the onboard systems taken out of that persons name and put into mine. So after 5 days of not hearing from anyone, I took the car back and asked if we could get the problem resolved. At which point they informed me that this was something I could do with my salesperson. After 3 hours of working on it in the dealership parking lot with my salesman, we were no closer to having it resolved. So they suggested I reach out to “Jeep Connect” myself to get it working. The following day I spent hours on the phone with 3 separate companies in an attempt to get my car working properly, but had no success. The very next day when I tried going to the grocery store my car wouldn’t start, and after 3 attempts the car locked me out. The dealership sent someone to my house with another vehicle and had to jump my brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit L We took it to the service department and on the way the heater would NOT work (thankfully we had heated seats) and when we got to the dealership we had to grab a Christmas present from the back, but the back hatch wouldn’t come up. The vehicle remained with the service department from December 23rd to December 27th, when we received a phone call at 9:05 am (5min after the service department opened) stating my vehicle was ready to go. I picked the Jeep up that afternoon and I was told my BRAND NEW VEHICLE had a dead battery cell. But that they charged it and everything was good to go. They even attempted to blame me for not driving it 15 miles. 🤦🏼These People!!!! On December 27th I spent several more hours on the phone again with the same 3 companies attempting to get my vehicle working the way it should. Of course all 3 companies said that it wasn’t anything on their end, but rather a service issue. On December 28th my husband and I were returning home from the pet store and all of a sudden our dashboard 4x4 warning lights came on and brought the car to an abrupt stop. So my husband let the car set for a couple of hours and finally it allowed us to drive the vehicle again. Of course we took the vehicle back to the dealership service department the very next day on December 29th. Over the next several WEEKS we only heard from them one time. And this was after my husband had called twice and asked to speak with the service manager. But instead his messages were forwarded to the service writer that checked us in. When they called back, I was asking him what was taking so long and if my car had been repaired? He said that they had to recalibrate the 4x4 wheel drive systems (which he had never seen happen on on a new car before), and that they were still waiting to hear back from Chrysler about what to do with my other issues. On January 23rd I received a call stating that my vehicle was ready for pickup. When we got there the service writer (before he even dropped the keys in my hand) said…”Now folks I don’t want you to assume that this is just going to suddenly work properly. My husband asked how he could say something like that after having our car for weeks??? Then Blah Blah Blah spewed from his mouth. Here is where the fun begins…. We opened the Jeep and we found ALL THE DAMAGE, FILTH & 150 extra miles on our car that they had caused. You read that right…THEY WERE DRIVING OUR CAR FOR PERSONAL USE! And we have proof from traffic cameras. I’m absolutely terrified to even drive the car whenever (if ever) we do get it back with fear I’ll break down on the interstate or worse! I just paid my first payment and STILL don’t have the car! 🤬😡😢 Next Stop…an ATTORNEY!
