My Review of Toyota of Wellesley:
I recently made two trips to Wellesley Toyota. I am writing to praise your sales consultant Daniel Lombardi. I have been to 5 dealerships in the area and have felt conned, pressured and uncomfortable. When I arrived at Wellesley Toyota with my husband and two young children in tow Dan had the vehicle we were looking for ready and waiting to save us time. Dan didn’t try to up sell or pressure us. He took the time to show me the vehicle while my husband stayed inside with our children and then was patient enough to do the same with my husband while I stayed with the children. We asked for quotes and he gave us the best prices on the vehicles we were looking at without haggling at all. There was no back and forth with “my manager” as is the case with many dealers while you sit waiting. When it was apparent we were there too long past our children’s tolerance it was Dan who suggested we come back so we could get our children to bed. He didn’t pressure us to sign anything, he didn’t pressure us to close the deal, and he suggested we go home and come back or call when it was convenient. He didn’t hound us on the phone as many dealers do. He knew we were a working family with young children and he truly respected our time. My daughter and I returned the next day and again Dan had the vehicle waiting for us. Dan allowed me to take the time to thoroughly contemplate and play with the different seating configurations in the sienna. He assisted in placing our car seats and taking the 8th passenger seat in and out. He did this without any hesitation and allowed me the time to process things and come up with a decision.
Dan was the most patient, honest sales person I encountered while shopping for a minivan. He gave me the best price on the sienna and the best price on my trade without any haggling. I truly can say I didn’t experience this anywhere else except for Wellesley Toyota. Car shopping in any other dealership is a very stressful and often upsetting experience with an inordinate amount of pressure to see what it will take to get you to “sign right now” or to “not walk out those doors” or to “end your shopping now”. We all want to be educated consumers, we want to look at our options and get the best deal. Dan allowed me to do that.
I also had a brief but equally pleasant experience with Courtney Shick sales manager. He simply explained and provided a print out of the breakdown of numbers for the purchase of the sienna that Dan had put together.
My experience was so pleasant at Wellesley Toyota that my decision to not purchase the sienna is one that has caused me to lose sleep. I wanted to be sure that nobody thought something was done wrong or was missed. In fact it was because of how much I liked Dan that I almost went through with the purchase because I felt sorry. Dan was such a nice guy, honest, no pressure, let me take my time, and helpful. If I could have bought the vehicle of my choice from him I absolutely would have. However, in the end I decided the sienna just wasn’t the right choice for our family. If ever I know of someone who is car shopping I will highly recommend Wellesley Toyota and Dan Lombardi for their honesty, respect of their customers and best prices on new vehicles and trade ins without the haggling.
