My Review of Trussville mazda:
Buyers beware! I purchased a 1999 Mazda 626 less than 6 months ago with a so-called extended warranty. I had some serious trouble with the transmission- getting off the expressway 4 days ago. I took it to the dealership and found out that for the service department to tell me what was wrong I had to pay a $73.00 fee. Then they stated they could not find anything wrong but recommended a transmission tune-up for $325.00! Which would, of course, not be covered. I plan to tell everyone I possibly can about this injustice. Firestone charges $19.99 for a complete diagnostic test. WHY the $73.00 charge is my main complaint- I purchased the car from them. Needless to say, I paid my $73.00 and immediately traded the car with a $5300.00 loss already (different dealership of course). BEWARE of the service department!!!!! Then to top it off, the dealership tried to give me a run around this morning for cancelling the infamous extended warranty. The service department did not think I could get any money back. Imagine that! Luckily, the extended warranty company was honest and sent me back to the dealership AGAIN to cancel it. To sum it up- Good Riddance Trussville Mazda, I will not devote any more worries to you and I will post this message to as many places as I can so that I can warn other consumers of your indecent practices!

vehicle came in on 10/21/04 customer stated transmission slipping and they had a extended warranty. the 73.00 dollar charge is for a complete transmission diagnosis which includes transmission pressure test, i called firestone they do not do a complete diagnosis like we do but they will pull the codes in the system for 19.99 and test drive the vehicle if she is upset with the diagnosis charge she needs to check in to it a little closer. second we did not recommend a transmission tune up the vehicle needs a few things and she mixed them up a bit, no extended warranty will pay for a repair that is covered in the warranty unless we can show a problem since the vehicle was traded off by these people it has been in trussville mazda with about 5,000 miles more on it, still the transmission is doing good. we recommended a transmission fluid flush due to the miles and color of the fluid as well as a transmission cooler to help any over heating. this is maintenance work and no extended warranty will pay for maintenance repairs that is a customers part of ownership of a vehicle. i will not get into other things the vehicle was due for but it all was maintenance items which they declined. now about the i purchased the vehicle only 6 months ago, the vehicle was inspected and what ever the vehicle needed at that time was repaired, they left out the part they had driven the vehicle over 20,000 miles since purchase. what was not needed at the time of inspection is needed now all normal maintenance. now about extended warranty, as you all may know, the service department does not sell them we only honor them we have no idea how to go about getting money back from them since the service department does not sell them. im glad they got some money back from them. and for the good riddance to trussville mazda remark, we understand it is very hard to deal with unreasonable customers. we thank God every day that over 20 years here i have only delt with a few.
