My Review of Victory Chrysler Dodge:
I took my car to the Victory Dodge dealership in Prattville after talking to someone by phone earlier in the week.. I was first told by phone that for anything major I would have to take it back to the dealer, although my car was still under warranty. I proceeded to tell the gentleman that it was minor and he told me to bring it in on 5-20-04. I asked him if I needed to set an appt. He said NO, THEY DON'T SET APPOINTMENTS, to just bring it on this day. He said they started writing tickets at 7:30 am. I took my car to them on 5-20-04 and as soon as I walked in this white gentleman came towards me with a very nasty attitude asking what I wanted. I said I'm on schedule to bring my car in. He asked for my name, which I told him and he said you were supposed to be here at 7:30. I said the gentleman who I spoke with told me that you didn't set appts, to just bring it in today. He proceeded to say, well we write tickets up at 7:30, so naturally that means you have to bring your car here at that time. I said, well he didn't tell me that and you may understand that terminology but that doesn't mean that I do. He said, with an extremely rude attitude at this point, do you want me to put you down, because if so you may have to leave your car here overnight..(Mind you I can see their garage..1 car parked in the garage and 1 car waiting to be worked on from as far as I can see...the time being about 10:00 am).. I said, not I'm not prepared to leave my car overnight..He then said, well you should have had your car here at 7:30, then we started all over again with the fact that I was told they don't set appointments . I eventually was so upset that I said, forget it, I'll take my car elsewhere as he gave me a very nasty look as I walked out of the door...Not too customer friendly there. The gentleman I spoke to by phone's name was probably Melvin or Milton.. May have been the same person I spoke to when I got there. I mentioned this to my mother n law and she said they had issues dealing with racial prejudice here as well. I'm sure we're not the only ones. I've reported this to the Better Business Bureau and will keep on until something is mentioned about this on the local TV and radio stations. I can see why the rating is only 1....I checked 1 because I had to check a # to submit this, but I wish the ratings included negative numbers as well.. If so, my rating would be negative 1!!!!
