My Review of Volkswagen Pasadena:
I took my 2.0 Golf in for a 45k oil change. Was shocked when quoted $85 for their 5k interval maintenance, which is basically oil change and topping off fluids and visual checks. The service advisor also recommended a set of tires (which, to his credit, is a pretty reasonable advice with reasonable price, 15" Continentals for $456 with road hazard included), and throttle body cleaning for $300+, which is OK but I declined. I did the overpriced oil change anyway because I have no time to drive around to another dealership, but this is definitely the last time I'll service my car here unless they decide to bring their prices down to be more competitive with other dealerships. I just got off the phone with Bozzani VW in West Covina, got a quote for $60 for the stupid oil change. On the plus side, I'm typing this review from VW Pasadena's wi-fi enabled guest lounge. For the $25 difference, however, I'd rather get a wifi service and a latte at the Ritz-Carlton.
