Joe Seymour was recommended to me by a friend. Being British it is hard to get a car here as we don't have an established credit history yet. Joe managed to get both my husband and I into brand new VW's in less than a week. Since then we have recommended to several of our friends and everyone who has met with him has been delighted.

My Review of Volkswagen Santa Monica :
This dealer is awesome, not too big or not too small. Well located, and overall has a no pressure "cool" vibe. I hate buying cars, so I already knew the model and optionals, monthly payment and credit score, it was a matter of driving and paying.

Evan was awesome, I spend 50 minutes between driving and feeling the car inside. All green and good to go. I gave my car keys and VIN so they could appraise it. Mind you I am not a idiot who expects to get KBB value on my car. I was expecting to get 1K - 2K below the lowest KBB value.

Sean (Evan manager) came back after 5 minutes without looking at the car, just based on the car fax report and almost angrily told me "this car has been in a accident, I offer you 10K and you should be happy that I am taking it as a trade", mind you this was a 2005 545i BMW. V8 and loaded with 67K miles, cost me $61K when new.

He was so unpleasant and rude that the deal was over right there. I felt sorry for Evan because he was a outstanding guy. But unfortunately his boss lived in some cave in middle eats for too long... forgot how to deal with people.

Conclusion: drove down the block and got 14K (200 short of what I owned to BMW financial) and got a Lexus.

My Review of Volkswagen Santa Monica :
A week later after purchasing my new car from Volkswagen Santa Monica I can truly say I feel great about my purchase decision not only with the car I selected but the with the person that helped down this path. Sales lady, Ms. Jett Richard, is just great and I owe her my thanks for pairing me with the perfect car for me. I test drove the same car with someone else and I left feeling uninspired, but it was an altogether different experience with her, and that is where she really shines.

Jett is polite, fun, respectful, understanding, and didn't try to "sell" me the car, she just wanted to help me get to know it, see if it was right for me, and it was in this environment that I bonded with my car and realized this is the one I wanted. My experience with her left me with a great feeling about my decision and the dealership and that peace of mind means a lot. It is still important to shop around and see what is best for you, I still love the Mazda 3, but if you know you want to take home a VW, I don't think you could find a better person to help you find your match.

Bridget Stennis is the most amazing salesperson EVER! She gives you NO B.S, she's extremely straightforward, you tell he a cost you want to spend out the door and she will find a car that fits your exact #. I've been to about 15 dealers in the past few weeks and was blown away by her amazing customer service. Can you say H-O-N-E-S-T? You'll never find another sales person like her.

These days when you have car problems you think the worst, and in my case I was shocked that it was not that bad. I felt so good leaving the dealership after getting my car serviced because Peyman, was so caring and explained everything in detail and so well to me, I know I was not being cheated out of my money. I will always come back to Santa Monica VW ONLY. I already have plans to come and do some maintenance on my car to make sure my car stays in Great Shape.

Thanks for making my scary day not so bad!

An excellent experience. I visited a number of both VW dealerships and other dealerships in L.A. This was by far the best. Jett was friendly, knowledgeable about the product and helpful, particularly in working through various options for purchasing the vehicle. I would highly recommend her and this dealership.

My Review of Volkswagen Santa Monica :
What a fantastic car buying experience.

Found the car we wanted online, a used Nissan Pathfinder. Applied for pre-qualification online and was called back by Melvante Willaims the next day. I told Melavante that we were really interested in this vehicle but after doing some research was concerned about the reliability of the radiator and transmission. I said that I would only consider purchasing the vehicle if the radiator was replaced. He spoke to his manager and service department and said that they would accommodate my request. I proceeded that day to drive the 100 miles or so to the dealer for a test drive. Melvante had most of the paperwork and already done by the time we got to the dealer. We took the car for a test drive and it was exactly what we wanted. We picked the car up two days later after the new radiator had been installed. The dealership loaned us a car while the radiator change was being done. All in all the best car buying experience I have ever had.

My Review of Volkswagen Santa Monica :
I've been using Volkswagen Santa Monica since I bought my care there nearly five years ago. They have consistently been phenomenal. Whether or not I set an appointment, I am taken care of promptly and all of my concerns are clearly addressed - as I know very little about cars, this is an important characteristic for me to see in a service center. They seem very happy to help, and my car leaves feeling brand new. Today I went in with a minor issue, and in addition to pleasantly helping me, J.D. showed me how to fix the issue next time on my own. I'm going to continue to go there as long as I have a Volkswagen.
