I recommend this dealer: No

My Review of Wade Raulerson Honda:
Intro:
We were looking for a New 4x4 small SUV, a Rav4 or CRV class with standard options. Being in FL, stock of 4x4s isn't that great so what we were looking for is pretty limited.

It just so happened that there was this blue 4x4 CRV in stock at the WR Honda dealership that just arrived. I thought to myself what luck given the limited stock of those SUVs in that configuration. The price Charlie quoted me was fair not cheaper. just above hovering around what edmunds.com and consumerreports.org specified.

We decided to get the car and I asked to get a new TAG. So they put in the calculation (with taxes) for me what the total cost would be. And I was satisfied with the price overall. Then proceeded to signing papers. (Big Mistake!)

When I went to get my NEW tag from the dealership, I owed them more money than I thought I would have. I thought what could have happened? I looked at the bill of sale and to my HORROR that they put in the price for a TAG TRANSFER and put the difference into the car invoice, thus effectively raising the price. At this point I had no choice but to pay for the difference. about $75

Now what I am trying to do, (or given up) was to get at least some explanation why is that so from the people I dealt with. I expected that I wouldn't get my money back, which was not that much (WAY within my purchasing budget) but at least I was hoping they would be gracious to admit the mistake and try to compensate for it (maybe give me a honda hat or something) This "small" (big) detail just really gave a BAD TASTE to the overall buying experience.

So far I am happy with my new CRV but to recommend anyone I know to that dealership? HECK NO. Go to coggins toyota in JAX. At least they talk to you fair and square.

My Review of Wade Raulerson Honda:
I have purchased several Hondas from Woody Woodward. Buying a car from him is an extremely unplesant experience.

My last purchase was the clincher. When we initially settled on a car, he scribbled the price on a piece of paper which he did not give to me.

The day of the sale and pickup of my new car, it was no longer the price on his scribbled piece of paper. A price I could still see written on papers he had on his desk. He now quoted me a higher price. I agreed and wrote out a check. Then, after a few minutes he returned with all the papers and asked me to write yet another check because they had made a mistake. The price was now higher again.

Woody is a salesman to be avoided. Unfortunately, I would have to surmise that the management of this establishment supports Woody's salesmanship techniques.

Although I use their service department and have almost always had exceptionally good work done, I will no longer be buying Hondas from this dealership.

My Review of Wade Raulerson Honda:
I am not saying "Don't go to Wade Raulerson Honda." Several of my friedns bought their cars there and were treated fairly. This is only rating Woody Woodward.
Admittedly I was angry with the situation already. I had sent information to Wade Raulerson through the Honda website looking for an emailed quote on a Honda Fit. I marked that I wanted to be emailed. What I got was one email of introduction from 2 different reps followed by 5 phone calls. As I did not want to speak with a rep yet, I didn't call him back. Most people would get the hint after 5. Finally the phone rang while I was in ear shot so I answered. In my anger I told Woody that I had asked to be emailed and I meant that. Then I hung up. A couple minutes later I got an email entitle "No Fit" in which Woody basically told me where I could go.

I've been in sales and I know how frustrating customers can be, but you don't do that. You suck it up and apologize for any misunderstanding and you move on. You do this because word of mouth is one of the best forms of advertising.

Reason for Visit: Service

I recommend this dealer: No

My Review of Wade Raulerson Honda:
I bought 06 Hyundai from Wade Raulerson dealer and used their free oil change service. It turns out they put the oil filter cap wrong and the oil seemed to leak into the engine. within a month of oil change the engine started to make noise at the start up, so I took it to Hyundai Dealer to get it checked. The Hyundai dealer suggested that there might be some engine damage due to oil leak into the engine as the oil filter was improperly placed. He showed me the picture of the oil leak around the filter and also informed me that there were metal parts floating in the oil pan.

When I took the vehicle back to original Honda Dealer, he mentioned that it was Timing Tensioner problem which is a known issue with Hyundai. He informed me that he had gotten it replaced through another hyundai dealer. When I asked for recepit of the service by that dealer, I was told that their computer was down and that the receipt of service will be mailed to me.

I took the vehicle back home. The engine still makes noise and the noise now seems to be persistent.

Not only did the Honda dealer put wrong oil filter, as it turns out they also made a wrong diagnosis on my car tires and informed me that they were all in good condition which again was not the case as I found out soon when my front tires suddenly burst.

My Review of Wade Raulerson Honda:
This is the only Honda dealership in Gainesville. We purchased a 2007 Odyssey from them in June 2007. They are very friendly and easy to deal with, but be prepared to negotiate hard on price. Their original quote was quite high. I shopped and researched on the internet and then went back to them and said if you can match this price we'll buy from you for the convenience.
Note - this used to be a privately owned dealership with an excellent reputation. This year they have been bought by a bigger group. Now they have a $499 dealer fee (profit) included on all sales and they let a long time service manager go.
