My Review of Wagner Toyota:
Well, we fell for the free oil change for life scam at Norm Wagner. When signing all the paperwork for her new car, the free oil change form came up. It was given to my wife and the Salesman said "this is the form for your free oil changes." She signed it - we should have read the find print. The free oil changes are only provided if you purchase a ridiculously over-priced maintenance service every 5,000 miles! False advertising! Misleading! Listen, they had ads all over the place about these free oil changes for life, did anyone know that you had to pay for their complete service to get it? No way, that was never stated, and you only find out when you try to take advantage of the oil change, unless you catch it during the paperwork process. This is a underhanded and deceiving way to get car sales, this dealer cannot be trusted.

My Review of Wagner Toyota:
I went in looking to purchase a new corolla 09 model. Test drove an S model, when I wanted an XRS model (no XRS' were at the dealership at the time and it would have been 3 weeks to get one). Liked the car and decided to talk numbers. First off salesman shows me the brochure of the vehicle and all the available options (mind you I had been doing research for two days and knew of every available option so I told the salesman what I wanted and which options I didn't want as I had no use for them.)The salesman comes back and says, the car only comes one way and that's it there are no options on this model. I said that can't be if you go to Toyota's website they list all available options and inform you of what is specifically available on the XRS as standard equipment. He then goes back to find Raphael who says no, the car is only available one way and they don't do "options" they don't just build one car differently, they all have those options as standard equipment. With all those options the cars cost was a little over $23,000. Way more than I was looking to spend and way more than Toyota's MSRP on their site of a standard XRS of $18K. I decided let's leave it at that for now I might be able to lower the cost later with negotiations. But oh was I wrong!!! I was trading in a vehicle and book value on the car (which is only 2 years old), according to Kelly Blue Book's website started at 9k for good condition. So out comes the salesman with an offer for 7k (when no one ever even looked at the car!!). Appalled at that I said no I want at least 10K the car it has lower than average miles and is in brand new condition with no mechanical flaws and or body damage and has never seen winter. Salesman says no they can't and won't give you that I said, you haven't even moved and you're saying they won't. He decided to move and came back with 7,500 as a today only special! I said, no you have to be kidding me car is worth more than that and if I trade it you will put it on the lot for 16k or more. He says no, but regardless would you take the car?? I said maybe if you lower the cost of the car. He says, you are buying a top of the line XRS with all the options (which are "standard" according to Raphael) we can't lower the cost. So now I'm looking at a car for around 26-27K with interest and my payment will be around $400-500 or more a month FOR A COROLLA! I told the salesman, no thanks if I wanted to pay that much for a car I'd buy a Lexus. Thanks but no thanks. He said, but you aren't going to get a "DEAL" like this anywhere else. I then informed him I had been looking online at other dealerships about the same vehicle and had seen the same car, same options for 19K-21K and that I would definitely be going elsewhere.

My Review of Wagner Toyota:
Please do not fall for the "Free Oil Change for Life" program offered by this dealership. The fine print states that the oil change is free only if you pay (sometimes a lot of money) for the scheduled maintenace which is conveniently scheduled every 5000 miles. If you choose not to do (pay) the service you must pay for the oil change.

My Review of Wagner Toyota:
My experience with this dealers service dept was a nightmare.
first I called to schedule an appointment for just an oil change, when I got there they had me scheduled for other types of service I did not request!
Then there is the waiting game. I was told an hour. It was almost 2 hours. But what really got me upset was that a woman came in 30 minutes after me for an oil change and hers was done before mine.
The usually wash your car as courtesy but they didn't this time.
The service advisor was not friendly, in fact, when I said I didn't want any other service, he was almost arrogant.
I guess I will be bringing my car to a different shop. There are plenty to choose from and they don't charge as much as the dealer.

My Review of Wagner Toyota:
I was in the market for a Suburu and I stopped at Norm Wagners because I had spotted one on the lot. Craig Peters approached me and I asked him what the price of the car was. He said lets go inside and find out. He then proceeds to try to sell me a Ford! It wasn't until his manager came over to ask me why I wasn't interested in the ford, that the suburu suddenly came into "my price range". Then they pressured me on why I wouldn't buy the car "today" and I told them I would have to have my mechanic look at it first. The manager said that this would be fine but that the salesman would have to go with me to the mechanics because mechanics "do things" to the cars. All in all it was THE WORST experience I have ever had at a car dealership, and I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. Buyer beware!!!

My Review of Wagner Toyota:
I went to this dealership ready to purchase a Corolla. As soon as I said "Corolla", I got the impression that Craig's interest level in me went way down. As we were walking around the lot looking at the cars, another customer came along looking at more expensive cars - Craig dropped me like a hot potato.

I thought maybe I just caught Craig on a bad day, so I decided to give him a second chance. But on my second trip, I got the exact same service from Craig - as soon as someone else came along looking at a more expensive vehicle, Craig hurried off to help them and abandoned us.

This dealership is practically in my back yard, so it was hard to imagine going somewhere else. But I eventually went to ActonToyota.com, and was thrilled with the service there.

My Review of Wagner Toyota:
I was very happy with my buying experience at Norm Wagner Toyota.
I told Luke exactly what I wanted, how much I wanted for my car and what I expected to pay for a 2008 Corolla with the options I was interested in. I was pleased with the price.

He exceeded my expectations and was very easy to do business with. He knew his product and didn't try to talk me into things I wasn't interested in.

The car was ready on the date promised. I had mud guard installed on the car while we were processing my paper work.

Raphael called me about a week after the sale to tell me that he found the car that I was looking for in New York. He expected it to arrive by the 15th and that is exactly what happened.

Tom took me on a tour of the dealership and went over the Corolla with me.
He was very helpful, making certain that the car was delivered to me with all the options promised.

I hate buying cars but I have to say that this experience was a pleasant one. I will go back to Luke for my future car needs. He was wonderful!

Everyone I dealt with was courteous and friendly.

I would not recommend this dealer. I was willing to give them a chance to sell me a Camry if they were willing to match the price that I got from Boch. Boch's price was $600 than any other dealer, IRA, Acton and Norm Wagner. Norm Wagner said that there was no way that Boch could sell be the Camry for that price. After I done business with Boch, that dealer sent me a rude e-mail. I would suggest to anyone to go visit Boch in Norwood. There are an hour from Norm Wagner but they are well worth with. Great price, customer service, etc...

Come on down....)!

My Review of Wagner Toyota:
I visited this dealship with full intentions of purchasing a Toyota Tundra. I had numerous questions about the many different choices that are now available for the Tundra. I felt I had to have more information before making a decision as to which Tundra would be best for me. After Craig willingly answered my questions, we went inside and started on the process of "finding my truck" with the options I was looking for. He tried to pressure me to choose a different color to open up my options. I explained that I was spending a lot of money and I was not going to settle for less than what I wanted, and if I had to wait until something came along that met my requirements, that would be fine. Craig went off to speak to the manager to see what else he could do.He finally came back to his desk saying "the other manager" was able to find the exact truck with the options I was looking for, could I now give them a check for a deposit? When I asked to see the print out of the vehicle, I was told it was the same as the previous print out of the other truck(as he shoved it across his desk at me)but the color was different. After I wrote out the check, he brought Rafael over to meet me. Rafael then said he would be in touch on Tuesday to arrange posession of the vehicle and that he would only need 20 minutes of my time, then I would need to spend another 10- 15 minutes with Craig.
On Tuesday, I called the dealership several times but Mr. Peters was not answering his page. I left a voicemail for him regarding another matter (confirmation of my faxed vehicle registration)and left my contact numbers.By 2 pm, and after not hearing from anyone at the dealership, I called and asked for someone in finance. The person I spoke to did not know anything about my truck but would direct my call to Rafael. When I reached Rafael, he told me he was still searching for my truck. I explained he must be mistaken because I had a receipt with Located written on the top of my invoice. Rafael said that could not be because he had been working on "Tundra's" all day, and he was puzzled when I spoke about the other manager that Craig had been refering to. I then told Rafael that since I was unable to reach Mr. Peters (Craig) and he had clearly lied about availabilty of having a truck that met my criteria and quiet frankly sold me a truck that did not exist, I was calling the bank to put a stop payment on my $5000.00 deposit. I have not heard from anyone at this dealership since that last phone call. I am a hard working woman and single parent, I will not do business with any business that misrepresents their product or service. I feel they tried to take advantage of me and that does not sit well with me! Buyer beware.

My Review of Wagner Toyota:
I spent over 3 hours on Labor Day trying to buy a Toyota 4 runner My salesman,Michael, and i went back and forth about price and monthly payments ,finally with the approval of the MR. WAGNER we agreed on a price and monthly payment. Finally we sat down to fill out the remaining paperwork with my wife and after the salesman let us sit for an hour while the salesmanager and MR WAGNER figured how he could come back with an explaination on why he mis communicated and mis read the information that was presented to him. First and foremost MR WAGNER, agreed to a specific price and said "make the deal" and the salesman actually congratulated me on my purchase.
It all came down to an error on the salesman/sales manager and MR WAGNER behalf.
I in no way was ever deceitful or holding back information on my payoff.

It concerns me that when an Owner himself agrees to a price and then takes back that agreement , that the owner and his staff clearly lack professionalism, honesty, integrity for a mere difference of $1200.00.

Thru my occupation i lease/purchase company vehicles and would not consider or reccommend a Norm Wagner Dealership.

My Review of Wagner Toyota:
After spending almost two hours dealing with the Sales Manager "Miguel" I was so frustrated, I could scream. We kept going back and forth on the price, adding and subtracting "dealer added" features and other options, I really didn't need. He finally made the statement that he didn’t think I wanted to buy a car and stormed away, leaving me with a surprised and embarrassed saleswoman. I just got up and left. I wound up paying about the same price for the exact same make & model from a Toyota dealer in Acton, MA the following week and have been very happy with the car. I’m glad that I didn’t buy from Wagner. I suspect the Service Department wouldn’t be much better than the Sales Department.

I went to Norm Wagner to purchase a Toyota Camry. The sales person I dealt with was knowledgable however when it came time to negotitate Wagner would not give a fair price compared to other dealers in the area. His business model is "Name Your Price" however it's also "The Price Needs to Be Above This Amount". Norm himself came to introduce himself but only because he like hearing his own name.

I would never recommend this dealer and I'd be certain to tell everyone so.

My Review of Wagner Toyota:
I went to Norm Wagner as a second time car buyer. The initial salesman who worked with me (brian) was very nice but not very knowledgeable. I told him my price range and he was very honest and showed me the cars that were in my price range. While we were in the showroom talking about 4 salesguys came over and Raphael tried getting me to drive some ugly Scion well over waht I wanted to pay. When I said no he kept pressuring me going on and on about why I need to drive that car and how I'll want it after I drive it. I kept saying no until I finially had to ignore him. He wouldn't stop trying to get me to buy expenisive cars and kept putting down Brian and was making fun of him.

They kept throwing out prices and cars at me and when I said no they acted as if I was a huge annoyance. at this point I should have left but I gave them the benefit of th doubt. They then gave me a price of a new Corrolla which I said I had to think about it....I had FOUR salesmen hovering over me, with pens and papers teling me taht I was stupid if I don't take this deal and that they were giving me the shirts off their backs and that they weren't making any money off of it. They then started pointing to their wrists saying I had to decide then or the deal was off....Being a young single mom who despereately needed a car, signed the papers which was the worst thing I could have done. I shouldn't have done it I admit but the pressure they exerted on me made me so intimidated I shut down.

After I signed the paper I realized they didn't ask me to test drive the car...so I asked if I could and they said nob ecause they were closing...I was so mad about that but they said the next day I could bring it back if I didnt like it. So i went home and looked over the paperwork and realized that I paid $1000 over the sticker price (granted I owed 1000 on my old car...but I didn't not get the "deal" they talked about). I went back the next day explaining to Javier the GM how I was pressured and lied to but he said there was nothing they could do. I said how i didnt test drive the car and that I would say I didn't like it so I could return it but they told me "that was lying"....which is waht they all did to begin with.

I do NOT recommend this place to anyone. Car salesmen live off commission yes. But they also have a responsibility of customer satisfaction and tneed to give the customer what they need, not random cars well over their budget. I've told many poeple about this place, and I will never recommend it or go back.

My Review of Wagner Toyota:
Recently I went into Norm Wagner Toyota to purchase a vehicle. While the sales person was very knowlegable and professional, Mr Wagner refused to give me a price on a new Toyota, even after I had his sales team examine my trade. I phoned an appointment prior and had driven over a hundred miles to price out this new car, only to be turned away because I had mentioned to the salesman that I was going to "shop this car purchase" Who ever had the best price would get the sale.

Instead I got beligerence. I was told that Mr. Wagner would not give me a price and I was to come back later after I got my lowest price elsewhere. He was so cowardly that Mr Wagner would not even come talk to me. He sent his lakey out to do his bidding.

This dealership personafies the term "slimy car dealer". After speaking with a friend of mine. I learned that my experiences were not different from theirs. I then went to his local competitor (Acton Toyota) and was treated with respect.
I purchased the vehicle from Acton Toyota and have been pleased with all aspects of their way of doing business.

If you want to be treated poorly, Then Norm Wagner is your man. I look forward to seeing the "going out of business" signs on that building, but I supect that enough people will be bullied into a purchase with his low-life sales tactics.

My Review of Wagner Toyota:
I too was accosted before I could get in the door by a salesman who could barely speak English. He used profanity to describe the weather despite the fact that I had a child with me. I asked to test drive a Yaris and said I wanted a certain type (without lots of options). He denied that such a type exists, though just that day on the internet I had read about it. I figured I'll test drive it here but buy it elsewhere.

After the test drive he asked about it and I said twice I want to think about it. He asked what concerns I had and I mentioned their poor rating with Better Business Bureau and asked if they were going to clean up their act. He claimed to never have heard of the BBB! Then he said, "Well come inside and I'll get you a business card and a brochure." Stupid me, in I went and after a wait he came out with no brochure, no business card, but with his manager, who also could barely speak English. The manager tried to browbeat me and said I shouldn't have wasted their time coming into the dealership if I were not prepared to buy a car that same day. I left after retrieving my personal information sheet from the head manager who sits in a tower looking down on all the salespeople - very boiler room type atmosphere.

While it is unlikely given their reputation that I would have purchased a car from this dealership, they would have gotten the service business since they are the only dealership near where I live, but they lost that too. I would never set foot on their slimy premises again nor will I buy a Toyota as long as I live in this geographical area.

My Review of Wagner Toyota:
I felt like I needed to shower as soon as I left this place. It had a very slimy feeling to it. Specifically, the problems I had were:

1) Sales staff uninformed. They did not realize that the Matrix had discontinued the support for 4 wheel drive in the 2007 model.

2) Sales staff tried to redirect me to cars that were on the lot, rather than what I wanted. I was a accosted by a used car salesman before I could even get in the door.

3) Sales staff was misleading. I said I wanted a car that would get up the steep driveway. They said traction control would help with that. Then, the sales guy says that the traction control will not help, once he finds out he can't get a Camry SE with traction control. So which is it, buddy?

4) I asked for a Camry SE with VSC and TRAC. They said that you can't get one that way. Yet other dealers say they can? Why would that be? I felt they wanted to sell me something, anything, but not necessarily get the right car for me.

5) He gave me a terrible price ($1,000 more than another dealer). I asked him it if was the best that he could do. He said, yes, he can't go lower. I said, "So if I get a lower quote, I shouldn't even come back, because this is your lowest price". Salesman said, "No, come back, we'll give you a better price". So which is it?

My Review of Wagner Toyota:
I have terrible credit. They treated me with the utmost respect. They explained everything to me. They made sure to find me a car that was within my budget. I didn't necessarly get the car I wanted. I got a 2004 ford taurus. I wanted a toyota but it just wasn't in my budget for now. They told me how to fix my credit and get the car I wanted in 6 months. They were the best dealer I have ever dealt with.

Ok update. They lied to me. They told me I was approved and then just keep playing around. I tried to call Arian in finance and he would never call me back. The only person I could get to call me back was Juilianna the sales person. I have waited two weeks for a car that I thought was already mine. They have been just playing with my mind for two weeks. Also , when they couldn't get me approved through toyota finance, they submitted my credit to 30 different banks ruining my credit for a very long time. Please disregard my earlier review and don't walk, run away from this dealership.

My Review of Wagner Toyota:
I was having trouble with the front-end on my '96 Taurus. When I took it to Norm Wagner, they told me that I would need to have shocks, struts, swaybars, front-end alignment and wheel balance. The bill came to just over $800. It took them 3 days to get it back to me. I hadn't gotten 1/2 mile down the road, when I noticed the exact same problem. I immediately took it back and told them about it. It took them another 3 days of 'working on it' and they called me and told me I could pick it up. I barely got it off the lot and had the exact same original problem. I then took it to my local Midas shop and had them look at it. I explained to the owner what had happened and he told me that he used to work for Norm Wagner (as a mechanic) and had the same kind of experience with some warranty work on a car that he bought from them. After thoroughly inspecting my car, Midas determined that NOTHING had been done to my car and had probably not even been put on the lift. The mechanic showed me the ORIGINAL Ford OEM swaybars that were still on the car. I'd love to sue Norm Wagner and even file criminal charges, but going after a car dealership is like attacking a Panzer tank with a butcher knife. Bottom line: DON'T BUY FROM THESE THIEVES OR HAVE ANY "WORK" DONE!

No changed numbers and the right car. I believe Mr. Hamel is the online manager. He was very knowledgeable about the car and met my requirements perfectly. I do strongly recommend him to friends.<br>When I went in to pick up my new Highlander I was introduced to Mr. Tom Burns who gave me a very in depth delivery of the car. My Review of Wagner Toyota:
This was my third car purchased recently from this dealer. Worst buying experience of my life. I was shopping for a 4-wheel Drive SUV with Anti-Lock Brakes. I was presented a CARFAX report that implied the vehicle I purchased had ABS. I also asked the sales manager, twice, if the car did indeed have ABS. I was told &quot;Yes&quot;. Because it was Toyota Certified used, the purchase and sales agreement was not detailed as far as options. After nearly a month (the car still needs service for a &quot;check engine&quot; light), I called Toyota Corporate and found out the car does not have ABS. I filed a complaint with Toyota, and have been trying to resolve the issue without legal action, but was told by the dealership that because it's not in the purchase agreement, what I was told was not binding. I have filed further complaints with Toyota regarding this. Also, have been waiting over three weeks to have other service issue resolved. Part came in last week, but I was never called (Toyota corporate followed up on this for me, and found out the part came in over a week ago).<br><br>I can not recommend more strongly-- STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!! They have been dishonest in other, smaller issues as well (touch-up paint services not rendered, brake light not working on &quot;Certified&quot; vehicle, etc.) I am currently pursuing other avenues to get resolution. I will be editing this later, should the dealership work with me on this issue. BUYER BEWARE-- Toyota is a great vehicle, but Norm Wagner Toyota is not trustworthy (from my experiences). Shop another Toyota dealer instead.

Very knowledgable, kind and patient salesman. He was straight up with me and I appreciated it. No back and forth baloney. I gave him the numbers I was looking for and he did his best to meet my needs. he made me feel comfortable and didn't have any shady undertones. I have been looking for a long time for the right car and have been to a number of different dealerships but Rick was different. He didn't have that sleezy salesman pitch. He showed me the cars I was interested in, answered my questions and let the cars sell themself. He was confident in the product, knew the product which gave me a sense of confidence in him. I bought two cars at the same time which I am sure helped but again... I would send family back to this dealer for future purchases. I would ask for Rick though... I can't speak for any other sales person. And NO I am not related to him just a consumer who believes good work should be recognized. I hope this helps someone out there... Best of luck in your car buying process.
