In September, I had scheduled an appointment for October 10 on the phone. There was no text or email follow up. On October 10, they said we had missed the appointment date, despite them never making contact with us after the appointment was scheduled. Then we were only offered to reschedule at the end of November. I expected a dealership service center would be able to schedule and communicate with us on a basic level.

Thayer is like most car dealerships which is unfortunate. The reason many people dislike car dealerships is because they feel that the dealership is not being fair. Now I acknowledge that it was my choice to trade in my car and buy theirs. However, showing you the value on paper to place it on their lot at double that value is where the dealerships get their not so popular reputation. Thayer then wants to charge you $249 for their “Nitrogen package”. Apparently they supposedly fill your tires with “nitrogen” instead of “air”. Ummmm…I’ll take the free “air”. It’s shady stuff like that which makes one question the dealerships morals. You want to be different? How about filling the tires with nitrogen for free? No? Then don’t add it on my purchase agreement….it looks suspect. Why did I buy my vehicle there? Because it was honestly in great shape and their price was pretty fair. Why did I rate them 3 stars? Because they lose one star for the rotten trade in allowance and another star for trying to sneak in a $249 charge for inflating my tires. I would rate most dealerships the same. PricePro is the only dealership I would rate higher because they have one price. Take it or leave it. I can respect that. And my air in my tires was free. Bonus!

My check engine light came on my Chevy Equinox. I called Thayer Chevrolet and they fit me right in. They told me it would take about an hour to diagnose the problem (this was even before I brought it in). I was good with that. When I walked in they were so friendly, didn't even ask if I had bought the car there (I didn't) they automatically treated me like I was a long time customer. Thank goodness this was covered under the cars warranty (where I was going to take it they didn't even mention the warranty). Trisha from Thayer actually took the time to make sure it was covered under the warranty before they did any further work. While they were taking care of that they found I needed rear brakes, an oil change and a new filter (I was kind of aware I needed all of this). Trisha let me know if they could keep the car for one more day they could have it all done for me and the coupon I brought in would be applied to these services. When I went to go pick up my car they actually apologized for keeping it so long (only three days). At no time did I ever complain about them having my car. Thank you Thayer Chevrolet for taking care of me like I was one of the family.

This was the 5th car we have purchased or leased from Thayer. Tony Lake has been our salesperson or contact person for 4 out of the 5 cars!! He has made buying a car the least stressful event ever!!! We told him what we wanted what we wanted to spend and he was awesome in finding us the best possible car for us!!! I highly reccomend him to anyone who asks and I will continue to work with him as long as he is in the business!! We just moved to Michaigan and I leased a car at Thayer the day i left!! My daughter lives in Michigan and she has leased 2 cars with Thayer!!! Tony Lake is our CAR GUY!!! Give him a raise or a corner office or something!!! Fabulous!!!

Thayer is always truthful hones and helpful in helping me with my car. having problems with it I was not sure what to do, they just ran a diagnostics on it and found just a simple problem.

Very friendly and not pushy which is very helpful for me ( not good with pushy salespeople) , definitely recommend this dealership. Linda Seem is a very nice saleswoman
