I dropped off my car with Toyota of Manhattan on August 20 after my catalytic converter was stolen. They told me it wouldn’t be ready until mid-September, which already felt like an unusually long time for repairs. Then I checked my E-ZPass account and found two congestion tolls charged while my car was supposedly sitting in their service center waiting for a new catalytic converter and not road-ready. Under Richie Torrez’s watch, my car was taken from the shop and driven through NYC congestion zones on August 28 and September 2 a total of about 24 blocks each time, assuming they only stopped at the toll line. Richie later tried to claim it was a “test drive,” to a Toyota cooperate rep, but that doesn’t make sense when the car didn’t even have a catalytic converter installed yet. Sounds more like unauthorized use than a test drive. E-ZPass confirmed the tolls including photos of a man in uniform with a name tag driving my car. When I reached out, I got voicemail boxes, excuses, and zero accountability. Even after admitting my car was driven, they positioned to refuse to refund the tolls. In New York, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle is a misdemeanor. So if you leave your car here, know that someone might take it for a personal joyride through Manhattan. You’ll get excuses, not help. Service your car here at your own risk.
The whole sale of the Toyota Sienna LE went very smoothly. The salesperson Luis Cedeno from Toyota of Manhattan was very professional, respectful, and efficient. We got the price for the car as promised. Will definitely send more friends to Toyota of Manhattan for the business. Thank you , Luis.

A really bad customer service even when you want to buy a new car! Took a week to hear back from them even when paid a deposit! I visited this dealership on Monday and paid a deposit for a new Rav4-hybrid. I was supposed to be informed about the car in 1-2 days, but here is what happened (they waisted my time and money and missed the chance to sell 2, or even maybe 3, new cars in less than a month): 1- Visited the dealership, chose two options (from which I wanted to get the one available the soonest), and paid deposit. 2- I was supposed to be informed in 1-2 days about which car and when I would have. 3- I didn't hear back till Thursday when I contacted them and the sales person told me that she would follow up and would let me know asap. 4- I didn't hear back again and called them 4-5 times Friday morning and still couldn't talk to the sales person. 5- After showing my frustration and telling them that I would go somewhere else, I could talk to the sales woman. 6- She told that those car are not available and/or will be available much later! She also told me that it might be faster if I choose another color (I was already fine with gray, white, and blue). I told her that I'm open to other colors as well and she told me that she would contact me shortly, after checking the inventory. 7- After two hours that she didn't call and I contacted her again, she said that there are no cars available!
The sales person Abraham Makany was very professional, very helpful, and made the experience of buying a car a simple and happy experience. He was very supportive with my auto insurance problems and actually found me the solution.
