Brought my truck in to address some small issues. they were the best. in and out quickly. price reasonable. kept my truck clean. I have been to a lot of dealers and H&L Chevrolet is by far the best.
I have been a GM technician for 15 years and the way this dealership treats there customers is the worst I have ever seen over charge because the customer is deaf an they think they can get away with it they brake additional parts and charge for what they broke because they are incapable of doing the job properly what a bunch of hacks they are what give mechanics a bad name if I broke something as I tech I fixed it or paid for it not tell the customer it was broken and make them pay for it but I also did the job correctly so things don’t get damaged what a complete bunch of hacks
Even though I did not buy car from this dealership due to logistics my experience with salesperson bob was excellent.. I felt like I was dealing with a everyday human being which is uncommon in car industry..
I was looking for a newer car to buy. I visited numerous car dealerships, all were very positive, but H&L Chevrolet was a cut above the rest by far. Every call was returned, every question answered promptly. I live in Harrisburg, Pa., and because of COVID-19, I could not travel to Connecticut because of my occupation. H&L drove the car I wanted to buy to Pennsylvania. They drove 3.5 hours to deliver the car I wanted, then drove 3.5 hours back. Talk about above the call of duty! The salesman Lou was great to work with, he was very professional, and he was the one who drove the car to Pennsylvania. I give them an A+++
I've owned cars for 50 years and have dealt with many dealers. These guys are the worst. They charged me $300 just to figure out what was wrong, and then quoted a ridiculous price to fix it. I called another dealer and they quoted me 1/3 the price for the same work. They were unfriendly and unhelpful. I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience warranted it.
don't bring anything that needs to actually be fixed, you will get overcharged, even get charged for them to tell you nothing is wrong and get charged to replace parts that have nothing wrong with them, all to get your car back with your problems unresolved. spent 1 week, hundreds of dollars to replace good parts that didn't fix the problem it was brought in for. spent 2nd week with the car to sitting in the parking lot to get worked on an hour or so and then get a not clear answer as to exactly what they determined the problem is. Now they say they think they know what the source of problem is and it will need at least another week, major disassembly of things you don't want anyone disassembling and 4,000 to 6,000 to repair? In the end they expect you to trust them with this type of major repair after basic diagnostics for parts they already replaced didn't seem to be performed and they are not really confidently sure of exact problem. If you want to ask questions, prepare for double talk and avoidance.
