This is by far the worst Toyota dealership experience I have had in 26 years as a Toyota customer, and I have been to many. I came in for a simple replacement key for my RAV4. Three months later, I still do not have one, and I am still waiting on a refund check. Here is what happened: They programmed a new key, handed it to me, and I discovered right there in the parking lot that the remote did not work. When I pointed this out, they explained it away as a "bad key," which means they charged me for a key they knew was defective. They promised to reorder it and call me. They did not call. Two months passed before I finally scheduled another appointment. I drove in and was told they could not program anything because their internet was down and I would need to reschedule. They said they would call me. They did not. Then, on the day of the rescheduled appointment, they called to say the replacement key still had not arrived due to a FedEx delay. At no point in this entire ordeal did anyone from the office follow up as promised. Every single time, I had to call them. When I raised my frustration, staff were dismissive and deflected responsibility. One person casually mentioned that "70% of new keys can fail," as if that were an acceptable explanation for the situation. I finally gave up and canceled everything. They said a refund check was on its way. Two months later, no check, no call. The incompetence here runs from top to bottom, including management. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone or if you need to get your Toyota serviced.
The sale was very simple and service is the best. Good place to do business
Purchased a new Toyota 4 Runner there and had two Toyotas serviced there many times. Purchased parts there when I did my own work. Excellent deal on the 4 Runner and excellent service on both Toyotas. Recommended them to many others and they all had a positive experience.
We have a 2016 Toyota Highlander that is very very darty in windy conditions, the steering is very responsive and drives good under normal conditions but when the wind starts blowing you better pay attention the steering is so sensitive and light when the wind pushes and you need to correct I find that you over correct very easily. I think Toyota need to program the electric power steering to become stiffer at highway speed to help prevent over correcting in windy conditions.
quick service,no hassle ,honored the warranty(didn't buy the car there)kept me informed couldn't have asked for better service. People at the check were also friendly, polite. Overall it was a great experience and raised my opinion of Toyota service.
We have been loyal Kinderhook Toyota customers for twenty-five years, and purchased our eighth vehicle (our first used) from them just this week. We are not people that buy a new car every year or two, we typically have our vehicles for ten plus years and currently have a Tacoma, RAV4 and our son has a Corolla (the most recent addition to the family). The same people are in the sales deptartment and service department at Kinderhook as when we bought our first pickup there in 1985, not many dealers can make that claim. The service department always explains exactly what was done and stands behind all of their vehicles. We have known Karen, Everett and Pete for years. The sales department will give you a fair price right from the start so there is no need to haggle and argue (which we hate). Years ago my dad made several trips up the northway to exit 15 to the Toyota dealership and haggled back and forth over the price on a new Camry, only to pay the same price that Bill Walsh gave us right up front on our car (which was exactly the same, just a different color). We even picked our vehicles up from the dealers on the same day. We took notice of the bad press Toyota has had recently, but we will remain loyal Kinderhook Toyota customers because we have 100% confidence in our friends at this dealership.
