My Review of herzog meier:
I traded my 2000 Blazer on 8/27 for a 2004 VW Passat 4 motion. On 9/8, I was contacted by GMAC that I was behind in payments on the Blazer. I notified Herzog that they needed to pay off the Blazer, as agreed upon by our transaction. I was informed that their finance mgr., Jason had quit and the paperwork had not been processed. Herzog was unable to honor the agreement. I told Herzog that I would be returning the 2004 passat, and would take back the 2000 Blazer since they were unable to fulfill their portion of our agreement. When I returned to Herzog on 9/18, I was told by Hamid that the Blazer had been sold and could not be returned to us. He promised to get us into a "comparable" VW passat for the same $$$ amount as we had been paying for our Blazer.
To shorten the story, from that point on we were told different (untrue) stories from Michael, Ammar, Dave, and Mike Shippe. We were then told on 9/27 that the Blazer had never been sold, and had been sitting on the Herzog lot since 8/27!!!!
I am currently trying to make contact with their new GM, Chris Meier. Their past GM, Mike Shippe is no longer employed by Herzog....how convenient.
All I want is for a representative of Herzog Meier to tell me the truth, and honor their agreement. I would not recommend anyone go into business with Herzog Meier. The amount of stress caused from this past month is immense.
Any legal advice?

My Review of herzog meier:
Purchased a used car from them, they couldn't transfer the custom plates from the old car. Cost me several weeks and a lot of running around and phone calls 10 hours. then they charged $200.00 for the licensure and refunded only $12.00. They do not value their customers. They sold the vehicle which had warranty problem with brakes so now that is being repaired elsewhere. Avoid Herzog meier!!

My Review of herzog meier:
We agree with the earlier review posted here. Would not buy another car at this dealership - yes, the salesman was friendly/nice and that is jst about the only positive thing we can say about this sale. We bought a bug for our daughter from H/M completely over the phone, as we lived in another state at the time. We trusted that this car would indeed be just as the dealer described repeatedly and after much discussion via phone and fax, we flew to Portland for final purchase and drove it home. Very shortly thereafter, we found out that there were many "existing" problems etc. w/ car... when we called dealership management about the situation - they were far from "customer service" oriented and we were simply told that they sell all previously owned cars "as is." We have purchased enough used cars over the years to know that that is indeed the policy of dealerships, however... I guess we believed and trusted that they were being truthful on their end. Yes, entirely our mistake believing them"long distance." Just know that our experience with H/M has only reinforced the "stereo-typical sleazy" car dealer reputation for us and we will surely avoid this dealership in the future!
