I have sent my friends in to buy cars and they all did COuld not find a nicer bunch of people to deal with. Even their service department is great easy to schedule work and always courtious. Would not go anywhere else to purchase a new or used vehicale and I will continue to tell people I meet about Field's. I am in sales and like to be treated like I treat my customers ----- honestly and fairly. Surprised how much you can sell when you do those easy things like listen to the customer!

I had to schedule the repair far out due to a variety of requirements both with my civilian job and military duties down at Scott AFB. I initially scheduled the work before my warranty expired at 35,000, but drove the 1500 miles in between the scheduled visit. Service tried to upsale me prior to checking the vehicle on a fuel injection cleaning service that wasn't recommended by the mfr. and was too expensive. soon as I said no, he came back to me with expired warranty. yikes. Now I'm a pretty reasonable person, but this was obvious what was happening. There are two guys in service who take the calls, the guy with bad customer service, and the guy with good. I remember how I spoke to the guy with good customer service about the bad guy many months ago before this hpapened, and he agreed that there were definitely some problems with him, but he's just one of those types of guys whos been with Uncle Rick Ridings for years. I recommend some customer service training at the very least for him. Even his hustle and upsale is lazy, and it was obvious why he refused my warranty work, because I wasn't gesturing his department with extra services I didn't need---he wasn't gesturing my warranty work due to a technicality in me scheduling the repairs way out. Now I purchased a rather expensive car during a time of recession. I caressed their money books pretty nice, and even got the infamous window etching I read later was a scam. You didn't see any complaints out of me, I really didn't care because after 10 years of hard work in the military and school, all I wanted to do was treat myself and spend some money at Rick Ridings back when I purchased this vehicle and I'm perfectly happy with it and the sales people. But I feel like this recent event was a backstab, and because of it, I can't recommend Rick Ridings for auto service needs. The guy who takes the calls & indocks looks like he's going through some major depression, I'll betcha its about those dang $15 good deal oil changes that aren't profitable. I would recommend Rick Ridings raise the prices to 29.99 to make him happy. I'd gladly pay $30 a drain & fill if the poor sap would just cheer up a bit. I still get everything done at Rick Ridings Maintenance wise, and I pay them for the service, but this was a clear backstab. Bottom Line, sales staff: courteous, assertive, down to earth. Service Dept: 50/50, customer service is good with the newer guy, the older guy who seems to take a majority of the calls, is not tactful, he moans & groans alot, even when you're just sipping coffee by him and small talking.
