On buying our new Jeep, he took us through everything on it and showed us how to even set the clock. The Jeep was washed and cleaned when we drove it home and it also had a full tank of gas. Finance department was great in keeping our payments were we needed them to be. Class A Dealership. Thanks to everyone!!!!

I've already been warned by every one of my BMW friends who's had service done there. One guy's car keeps having a new part break every time he takes it there. After paying for it, Sam Swope realize that THEY actually broke it, but since the new parts already installed, they won't refund him. Now it's my turn for service....
I bought a CPO car with 6 weeks remaining under the original full coverage warranty. During the time I noticed a few items that needed replacing, like a dry rotted window seal, defective shift knob that had moisture build up under the laquer...etc. Luckily I already knew Sam Swope was worthless so I had contacted Don Jacob's BMW at the same time. For those two items above, they said it was covered under warranty and would order the parts as soon as I give them the okay. Here's what Sam Swope had to say...
Sam Swope, as expected, was not as willing to help. I had been referred to Edwin Thomas for service by friends and online car forum members who had excellent experiences with him. I emailed him detailed pictures of the items plus descriptions. When I spoke with him on the phone later, we discussed the items and he was extremely helpful and attentive. He said he would talk to his service manager and fight for as many items to be covered under warranty as he could. So far, Edwin had been extremely helpful and I was starting to think differently of Sam Swope.
10 Days, 10+ phone calls, multiple emails later...still no reply back. I end up emailing the service manager and every single service adviser (except Mike Brown because I had already heard how worthless he was from a friend's previous experience). Finally Tab, the service manager replies back and says that my particular trim piece is only a 2yr/24k mile warranty. That's funny, last time I checked it was called a FOUR YEAR MAINTENANCE/WARRANTY???? The shift knob and other items are normal wear and tear and therefore not covered. If I wanted them to repair the window seal it would be $450+. No Thanks. I can handle a 1hr+ drive to get it dealt with by a dealer willing to actually help their customers.
Wonder why it took 10 days to get back to me? Maybe because my warranty was up in 13 days? My conspiracy theory is that Tab directed Edwin to ignore my phone calls until my warranty expired, then they would have no choice but to charge me. Edwin has a reputation for being an EXCELLENT service adviser the has been REPEATEDLY mentioned when I ask around he local car community. I am in no way questioning his credibility. I am, however, questioning the management of the Sam Swope BMW Service Department, under TAB BARNES.
Thank goodness I was also talking to Don Jacobs at the same time.
So how bad is Sam Swope? I'd rather drive 4 hrs to buy a car from someone else and drive over an hour to get it serviced just so those crooks can't touch my car.
