My wife was juggling our two children at the time and agreed to let them replace the batteries. Then she received an invoice for $677.97 for the two batteries.
When she informed me of the charge, I called a local technician and asked him what the charge would be to have the same work done. The cost of the batteries was $230 + $65 for installation. So the total cost would have been $295 vs. the $677.97 that we paid.
I wish I could say that this was an isolated incident. We returned for some additional warranty work last week and our service advisor informed us that we needed new shocks and that they had been damaged by the issue that we came in to resolve. This time we got a second opinion and learned that the shocks didn't need replacing and that there was no way that they would have been damaged by the issue we came in to resolve.
Needless to say, we will not be using them again in the future and do not recommend this dealership for service.

The deal was bad (my fault since I didn't do my homework up front). Not only that, the car has turned out to be a real lemon...something I never expected from Mercedes-Benz. There is no other Mercedes dealership in this area, so they have a lock on the market. Unfortunate, for customers because once you buy a car from them, you're stuck! The customer service is downright awful. Unless you are one of the city's 'good ole boys' or you purchase a high-end model, you're treated poorly. I would never shop or visit this dealership again!
