This happend to me with spark plugs in my Mazda. I had Bosch brand plugs in the car, they told me they were "wrong for this car" so I authorized the replacement but asked for the parts back. When I got home I checked the numbers on the Bosch spark plugs. They matched for this car. When I complained, Billion admitted that Bosch recommends these plugs for this car but that only NGK brand plugs are recommended by Mazda for this car. That's their explaination for why I needed new plugs. The Bosch plugs were only about one month old--wear was not the issue, the brand was the issue. They said they would do the same if I had
Champion or Delco plugs too.
