Young dealerships do not share trade-in appraisals with - ctjt1234
Young dealerships do not share trade-in appraisals with each other. I took my mint condition vehicle to one dealership and they valued it at $38,600 after a short test drive. Total time, about 20 min. and they gave me a copy of the Live Market Report
Their inventory was empty and I went to YCDJ in Layton. The salesman was Thomas. This guy should think about flipping hamburgers. Terrible at being a customer service type guy.
Thomas walked around my vehicle, took a pic, and headed for his office. About 10 min later, he informed me that my vehicle was worth, $29,000. No test drive, no Market Report.. His attitude reflected that he was doing me a favor at $29,000.
The Market Report that the first dealership completed, shows that my vehicle, low miles, was valued at $37,000 trade in value and retail at over $50,000.
I don't get this dealership's position, other than greed. The information on the trade-in value is on their web page. How can they dispute their own information.
Anyways, it's a Jeep dealership, without any Jeeps visible on the lot. They have 25+ Dodge vehicles inside the showroom, but I was interested in Jeeps.
If you want a Jeep, try Ken Garff dealerships..
